Yes thank you Calvin, I done 1,3,7, and also Reminiscences of a stock operator in college time, but I still failed in trading during college time. Then I stopped for 10 plus years and now I started looking back into stocks again.

There’s a difference when you read and understand it, vs looking at how other successful players conduct their trades in real situations. So finding I3 is a pleasant surprise for me, and also seeing your sharings (and others) is a blessing for me :) have a good weekend!

I started trading stocks in March this year, made alot of bad bad stocks selections which dragged me down when Bursa started to trend down. After I discover i3 in June/July, I also start to fundamentally change the way I view things, by seeing how you guys trade, and amongst others dompeilee, otb, but of course I still have so much more to learn, and my trades are still littered with mistakes.

Btw insas is indeed an investment co, we don’t price investments co to their nta ;) it’s like saying prop cos should be fully valued to their nta

But the topic is on whether it generates appropriate shareholders return no? So we are allow to scrutinise all deals correct?

Btw all cos do diversify, it’s not something new. Topglove has been owning a couple of wismas, it’s part of their assets. Company with cash owning props is one of the safest investments out there. X suka, diversify the stake la during market run.

The same can be said for virtually every company also.

What if Tropicana don’t invest in topglove but declare dividend?
What if insas do not acquire any stake in syf or mieco but declare dividend?
If we start thinking in that direction, we go crazy.

Before you all do Lenos pondering, understand that this applies to every other counters too. Example, do you invest in insas to ride on semicon wave or money lending wave or car rental wave or what? What is insas?

Bottom line, invest in a co that you think does best return for shareholders, or the perceived best returns. Don’t forget prop has been downtrend for past 7 years, props is a 10-12 years cycle. Gloves will continue to churn out the profits in the meantime.
