The problem with MAS is that it has inherited a lot of sickness from the many years it had been run like a charitable organisation. Too many head counts, unions and outsourcing contracts which may not be of the best interest to the company. Ahmad Jauhari's hands are tied, to do this, will offend who and who, so how to restructure effectively? The latest move to cut non profitable routes is good. Keep it up as it's going to be a mammoth task to move this giant

I don't think there will be any upside at the moment. The earliest will be maybe towards the end of Feb. Just my personal opinion though

If this is true and at present value of rm0.305 .... There is minimum downside but more profit opportunity. If it falls to rm0.28 due to knee jerk panic, I am sure to buy some more to keep at least till rm0.45 level

Just read an article in business times dated 27 jan 2014 saying sumatec's oil field is bigger than it thought. The analyst may need to revise the earning forecast upwards is this news is confirmed.

The potential growth of this counter is great. So far, his projects selling well even at premium prices due to his reputation. I put my bet in this group without doubt.

This counter has no holding power. Better don't contra else will get burn. Was hoping it will break rm0.90 but no, now worse, down to rm0.82 level again. Not sure what is the focus of business going forward ... Property or Renewable Energy .... Either way, has yet to actually gauge significant positive returns for the next few years to come. I will rather put my bets on EcoWorld and Air Asia on better management team ... Ha ha ... Just my personal opinion

AA has been in this oversold position for a while. It's time to go back to the rm2.65 level

I bought into this counter to support Tan Sri for his bold move of not to be conquered by aggressor. What distinguish a good and bad counter? The General and army behind it. This General has won many battles and expanded his empire based on aggressive and calculated moves coupled with strong leadership. He will rebuilt his stolen empire via EcoWorld. This is what I called true entrepreneurship. I will not sell this counter but will let it grow.......(the above is just my personal opinion)

With Liew leaving, so goes the strong and dynamic management that was instrumental in building what SP Setia is today. I will rather place my bet on EcoWorld as it will be the reincarnation of SP Setia. For those who missed the opportunity to invest in SP Setia those days when it was started, this is another golden opportunity. The issued capital is still relatively small and with good project injection, the value will sure to improve further.

AA closed high today when the overall index drop so much. It's a good sign since this counter has been on the down trend for so long. If RM2.20 is the base support level, then this may be the turn around point.

Agreed with ktrader, the recent govt ruling to supposedly to soften the property market will have an adverse impact on the industry as a whole particularly those mid to high end ones. When every other country are opening their market for foreign buyers, we are doing the opposite.

Focal has been rising from RM0.70 level early this year till what it is today, at RM3.66 due to the entry of new shareholder, Liew and team with potential project injection etc. The bought their stake from the previous owner at RM1.40 level. Now this counter is called EcoWorld .... Tan Sri may use this as the new vehicle to replace his SP Setia where PNB has bought over his stake.

Also to add, I have been holding AA for a long time and will continue to accumulate this counter whenever the opportunity arises.

Agree but if their claim of rm5 bil of projects are to be injected into a company with 253 mil shares, imagine the NTA. So far, Liew has delivers for SP Setia. Nonetheless, the recent property softening ruling by the govt will surely affect their sales as they are selling mid to high end stuff. Only time will tell whether these property counters will survive until the next property market downturn.

Looks like it's holding steady around the RM0.30 level. They seem to be doing whatever necessary to bring this company back to profitability. I think the major issue is their operational cost especially staffing. Also, the price competition although is improving their revenue but at the expense of margin. I am accumulating at this level as even if it ever touch RM0.40, it will be a good bet.

One Golden Rule for me when buying stock ...... The management team behind the Company and in this case, Tony Fernandez and his team? This counter has corrected a fair bit and at this level, we can start picking for hold.

Hi rajinikanth, maybe it's a sign that there may be a upward push soon and they are trying to reduce the possible resistance from unpredictable selling pressure. As I said, at this level, the downside risk is low, but on the safe side, buy progressively like the unit trust strategy .... Dollar averaging method ... Once they do lift from PN17, then buy some more

EPF selling to pay dividend .... AA is at a very interesting entry point now. With Malindo having some internal issues, will be good for AA. MAS's lowering price strategy is also hurting itself albeit at a better revenue

Let's hope this will be another Focal Aim look alike going forward ... But smaller scale due to higher number of shares. Believe in Halim Saad
