I think the stock will be above RM1.50 ex-date as after bonus issue, the stock will be at least RM1.50 so not a penny stock.

so sad since i already disposed this share. now bought homeriz, before that KNM

I think these proposals are positive as it will reduce the interest on loan approximately RM10 million per year and will improve the net profit especially when the other half of proceeds be used for productive purposes. However, EPS will be diluted as number of shares increases. Whatever it is, KNM is a growth stock and need to invest a lot in order to expand the business but make sure do not expand too quickly as previously.

I have made about 30% in this stock within 2.5 months (RM1.97 vs RM2.54) and not regret to sell this stock earlier.
Based on the latest 2Q2014 report, it recorded net profit of RM6.45 million inclusive of insurance claim of RM6.23 million and loss (expenses) relating to fire of RM3.63 million (PPE and inventories written off). Taking consideration of the effect of fire, the actual net profit is RM3.85 million or EPS of 6.42 sen. EPS for 1Q2014 was 13.76, total EPS for two Qs was 20.18 sen. If Lii Hen manages to record another 15 sen of EPS for the next quarters, total EPS for 2014 will be 35.18 sen. Using PE of 6-8, fair value will be RM2.11-RM2.81.
Unless Lii Hen address the low liquidity of the share, the stock is very difficult to achieve higher PE valuation i.e. at least at 10 or equivalent to fair value of RM3.52.
The stock will be higher also if it improves EPS maybe more than 35.18 sen for full year. Just my neutral comment.
By the way, I am currently holding KNM as I believe it can offer growth story especially for those who are willing to wait.

I am a big fan of lii hen, agreed that the stock has increased a lot in the pas few days and may enter into consolidation phase but do not worry as it will be temporary as the fundamental of stock is intact as high dividend yield and relatively low PE with a good prospect.

I hope the mgt is able to address liquidity issue and maybe to undertake capital exercise i.e. bonus issue or share split

Among the criteria that I look before choosing this stock are PE less than 10 and dividend yield more than 5%.

I am happy with Lii Hen so far. About one month ago, I bought at RM1.97 and last friday (4.7), the price was RM2.50 so the return is about 27%, this is not including dividend of 4 sen that I just received. By the way, another ex-date of 3.5 sen dividend next monday (7.7).

sensse maker, impact on exchange rate is very minimal as USD depreciated about 1.9% against RM (3.2354 vs 3.2980) for Q2 against Q1. I think, EPS is at least 10 sen

you have to understand the nature of this stock, low liquidity as most of people buying for long-term, for dividend and not suitable for traders but wondering why some people are so keen with the development of Lii Hen. If not holding any share, why bother follow this stock, waste of time unless have some hidden agenda
2014-06-09 17:11 | Report Abuse
I don't understand why certain people that claim don't have interest in Lii Hen but the way they put comments suggested that they want people to sell and most probably, they want to collect the stock. Maybe because they feel regret for not buying Lii Hen earlier.

I see potential of this stock. Bought at RM1.97 few days ago and have been monitoring Lii Hen since around RM1.74. Good track record in terms of dividend yield and also, low PE. I think, once people realise of its potential, it will reflect better in pricing. Sit back and relax.

US contributes more than 80% of Lii Hen's revenue and that's why lately its profit increase as USD appreciated against ringgit. Anyway, Lii Hen's performance mostly depends on US. For example in Aug 2013, the stock price fell more than RM0.30 to RM1.31 as based on quarterly report, sales from US dropped more than 30%. However, I view this counter is good as very low PE and high dividend yield. Have to be patience with this counter and of course not for speculation.

Based on latest annual audited account, EPS was slightly lower at 25.84 sen (2012: 25.89 sen). BIMB also proposed final dividend of 8.5 sen. It also announced Rifina as a director. She is currently working as GM (Corporate Services) in Tabung Haji.
Most likely Tabung Haji want to have more say in the company. Other than that, not much info on BIMB except last week, EPF was accumulating shares in BIMB. EPF has 9.4% interest in BIMB.

Last time when Tabung Haji acquired 1.39 million shares was on 13/12. This represent about 27% of volume traded. On that day, the stock rose 13 sen from RM4.21 to RM4.34.
On 4/1, stock rose 6 sen to RM4.35 and volume increased from 0.37 million to 1.9 million.

Foreign holding is very low for this counter @2.81% as at 31/12. So with tapering, the potential outflow of funds is very unlikely. The biggest shareholder, Tabung Haji more than 50% will provide good support for BIMB. For EPF it is not unusual to reduce the holding as it cost might be very low. Just taking profit.
The sad thing about this counter is illiquid but for long-term investor, it will provide good opportunity to enter into banking stock which is shariah compliant with low NPL, high CASA and fee-based.
