@pingdan.. ya, in Taiwan some went up 10x-30x before the sharp correction.. but in Malaysia Maybulk different scenario because Maybulk didn't move too much from the bottom..

@pingdan.. exactly, it reached 0.8+ when BDI was at 3000, that's why I said Maybulk by right should be at 0.80-0.90 now as BDI already up to 4000.. thanks to Malaysia politics we still can add at 0.67..

The Baltic Dry Index jumped 3% to 3,606 on Monday, its highest level since mid-2010 and extending gains for a fifth straight session, amid improving demand and ongoing concerns about congestion in Chinese ports. The capesize index, which tracks iron ore and coal cargos of 150,000-tonnes advanced 5.3% to 4,852, a peak since May 11th; and the panamax index which tracks cargoes of about 60,000 to 70,000 tonnes of coal and grains, increased 1% to its highest since June 20 at 3,584. Among smaller vessels, the supramax index rose about 40 points to a fresh all-time high of 3,119.

有留意 Baltic Dry Index 指数的读者应该可以看到近期内运输的费用有多疯狂,虽然这对于一般企业来说运输成本上涨将会直接影响他们的赚幅,不过对于运输的公司而言却是他们的黄金时期。尤其是以集装箱运输的领域而言,运到美国的成本接近翻了 10 倍,加上已经接近圣诞节,不知道会不会继续攀升..
回到 MAYBULK 而言呢,他们的业绩改善也主要是 Charter Rate 的改善,该季度内 Charter Rate 是 USD 17,241 / Day,而 FY 2021 Q1 则是 USD 12,860 / Day,并且目前公司主要参考的 Supramax Dry Bulk 价格也仍在上涨的趋势中,不知道公司在下个季度的业绩会达到什么样的高度呢?
有趣的是,MAYBULK 在上一个周期中的 “黄金时期” 也出售了部分的资产,这次的也是一样。他们打算出售 M.V. Alam Madu 以及 M.V. Alam Molek 这两个资产,实际销售的价格也暂时还没公布,如果在出售后也不排除会有一次性的特别盈利以及特别股息,现在只好等他们的公布咯!..."

Robert Kuok is definitely not dumb.. We might not understand his strategy, but I believe he got what it takes to beat down the wisest tycoons and become no.1 richest man in the country.
Maintain short term target 0.8-0.9, and medium term target 1.2-1.5 at the end of FY21.

(吉隆坡13日讯)大马散装货运(MAYBULK,5077,主板交通与物流股)2021财政年次季扭亏为盈,净赚3206万令吉;上年同期则亏损1270万令吉。
次季取得营收5262万令吉,按年增长37%。
上半年而言,该公司净利增长35%至4706万令吉,上年同期则赚3495万令吉;累积营收则上升10%至1亿24万令吉。
现金流方面,截至今年6月30日,该公司迎来4909万令吉净流入,手上现金因而增加至8992万令吉。
大马散装货运周五发文告指出,上半年税前盈利增长35%至4711万令吉,归功于脱售船舶获益656万令吉。
展望未来,该公司认为,得益于各国祭出经济刺激政策,和全球工业活动复苏,第3季散装货运活动料保持强劲。
周五闭市,大马散装货运涨2仙或2.90%,收报71仙,约有832万股易手。

If BDI continue uptrend and reach 4000 and above (maybe even more if you look at the projection and current trend), then I think should not be a problem to hold and trust on the management strategy.

The Prime Minister said most states are going into Fasa 4 in October, but for me Maybulk has been in Fasa 4 all these while, yet the share price is still at Fasa 2. Accumulate more? Not a bad idea.. : )

Hi my friends, if we study closely, logistic sector is showing the best uptrending chart among all sectors of Bursa Indices. Maybulk ascending trend goes inline with logistic index in which some higher highs and higher lows are formed even though during this period of pandemic/political turmoils. That's why I said it's one of the best counters to invest as it won't be affected much by all sorts of uncertainties we are facing now in Malaysia.
The quarterly report (Apr-June) will be coming out in a month's time, let's hope for at least 18-20M net profit. If can break recent years record and earn more than 20M will be a big bonus for long term investor like myself! Some of my friends are making short term gains (in fact for a few rounds already) but personally I will choose to ignore the noise (ups and downs in price) and continue to hold for medium-long term. Let's see how far it can go at the end of 2021.

徐旭東:散裝船市場好五年

看好全球經濟從疫情谷底翻身,各國加大投資基礎建設、刺激民生消費,大量採購原物料戰略物資,裕民航運董事長徐旭東13日在股東會上表示,「今年散裝船市場真的很好,五年內還會蠻順的!」裕民將把握這個機會站上浪頭,躍居千萬載重噸船商,全力拚晉級全球十大船東。
至於運價,徐旭東研判仍將維持高檔,主要因全球散裝船訂單在6%以下,處在歷史低檔,且全球船廠到2023年前都以建造貨櫃船居多,散裝船未來二到三年內都將呈現低成長,加上環保因素加速淘汰老舊船隻,市場運力恐下修,供給吃緊推升運價,有利散裝市場復甦。
裕民13日召開股東會,2020年營收85億元創新高,EPS1.04元,決定發放現金股利1.2元,帳上還有13元未分配盈餘,未來除了可以發給股東,也可擴增船隊運力。
裕民現有62艘各式散裝船(含在建船舶14艘)、總載重839.4萬噸,船隊平均年齡約六年。以2021年自有船載重噸計算,裕民排名全球第37,若加上2022、2023年各有四艘、十艘新船交付,不僅趕上這波榮景,還可將排名推進到第20。
據悉,裕民持續和國際主要礦商洽談專案長約,若順利敲定,裕民將投資新造船,徐旭東的千萬載重噸目標可望提早達陣。據Clarkson全球散裝航運船東排名,1,000萬載重噸船東可排名前十大。
裕民與鐵礦石生產商巴西淡水河谷Vale簽訂25年鐵礦石長期運送合約,去年9月執行,貢獻年營收6億元;另與跨國礦商公司英美資源集團簽訂四艘液化天然氣(LNG)雙燃料動力散裝貨輪十年長期運務合約,預計2022至2023年交船。
據國際貨幣基金(IMF)預測,今年全球GDP成長率6%,以美、中需求突出,大陸占全球散裝需求逾五成,大陸經濟復甦、房地產回暖,帶動原物料需求,是推動今年散裝航運市場向上主要動能。
裕民總經理王書吉指出,各國藉由投資基礎建設刺激經濟,帶來原物料、鐵礦砂需求,帶動散裝航運需求,但全球物流供應鏈卻因檢疫、塞港等因素造成缺口,航運供需失衡,運費居高不下,造船需求大增,造船訂單排到2024年,造船價格也大幅上升,所幸裕民超前部署,去年底就開始訂購新船。
除了硬體投資,徐旭東強調,裕民要做的是現代化、綠化,有三大重點:持續數位轉型、長約穩定獲利、打造綠色船隊,唯有審慎的業務策略及穩健的財務結構,才能將市場波動影響降到最低。

@wallstreetrookie.. Sorry I don't think so as I have my own points of view.. No offence but let's see in 6 months time.. When everyone is shouting: "Dangerous!", "Take your 5% profit and go", "Cut loss" etc.. I want to go the other way - I will ignore the noise and hold for 2 quarters, I am still confident in 100%-150% target profit in Maybulk.. I can't be 100% sure, but hopefully I can prove myself right at the end of 2021..

Any index goes up and down, including BDI.. So as long as the figures maintain at the high range, Maybulk profit for coming quarters will rock..
From my study, Maybulk will have an exploding year if..
Baltic Panamax Index maintain between 3k-3.5k
Baltic Supramax Index maintain between 2k-2.5k
Baltic Handysize Index maintain between 1k-1.5k
Confidence and patience are two important factors for us to be successful in our investments..
