Uplift of Indonesia export ban on palm oil is definitely a big plus for ORIENT...

ORIENT has a much deeper pocket with the huge cash piles they are sitting on. The issue is the major shareholder is so rich that it has no intention of cashing out anytime soon. Sigh.....

Looking at what happens in FAVCO's recent announcement of 85sen per share dividend and the subsequent rally in its share price, imagine what would happen if ORIENT decides to do the same thing...

In my view, I think FAVCO is a good company with solid business. I was a shareholder. However, after 85 sen is distributed, it will effectively become a company which is without surplus cash (after balance cash is netted against borrowings). However, given its track record of past performance, it should not have problem obtaining financing from banks. Would like to hear from anyone with a different view. Please enlighten. TQ.

In a market rout full of casulties, I m just happy to see that FAVCO is enjoying good return, be it in price appreciation or the eventual dividend payout. Whether you sell now or hold to receive dividend later, all shareholders are winners! FAVCO GO GO GO.... ;)

In a time of hyper-inflation, cash in our own pocket is good as we know how best to deploy it. Having said that, this is only true if the company is loaded with too much cash and has no better use for it.

Typo is unlikely as the co sec has to double/triple check before announcements are released. If they failed to notice the mistake, they ought to be sacked!

As a shareholder, Icertainly don't mind receiving tonnes of cash.. FAVCO on the go...

Luckily they have a much younger chairman now. At the very least, the payout is around RM0.40/share. It used to be much lower (RM0.10 - RM0.20)...

Typical Cinaman company. As long as the old guards are still around and the younger generation is not given the mandate to do business differently, it will be difficult.... :(

The only catch is it may not declare much dividend as it needs to preserved cash for its expansion plan. However, this is good for long term appreciation, I supposed. No?

As highlighted by LongTermInvestor8 earlier and as per the management discussion & analysis in its latest AR, mfcb may see exponential growth moving forward. The current price of below RM4 is still very much undervalued if most of its ventures turn out alright....

I m a newbie and have not studied much into mfcb's business structure. Perhaps its income from Laos is tax exempt and the growth in Stenta and Hexa remains in good trajectory, it should be able to maintain at least RM0.10/share per quarter. No?

Cash per share of around RM5 while share price is languishing at around RM7.10, while the company's many segments (automotive, medical, plantation, property etc.) are expected to generate even more cash in near future? Come on....

ORIENT should emulate what other businesses with good governance are doing. Declare a big special dividend and return the cash to shareholders. Let them decide what to do with their own money.

Actually there is no need for complicated corporate exercise to enhance shareholder value. What is needed is simply better cash dividends for shareholders. This is considered the low hanging fruits that can be harvested immediately. It makes perfect sense too as the Company does not seem to have any plan to utilise it at the moment. To retain loads of cash without doing anything is unacceptable as the inflation rate is super high now while bank interest rate is super low...

The younger chairman may know what to do to generate better returns for the Company. The question is if he still has to report to old guards....

Construction revenue should imrpove its bottom line starting 1Q2022.

Business in Laos should do better and better, especially with the 5th turbine coming into picture.

Though not one for quick money, the value will accrue through time..

Why has epf stopped selling? I hope there are more sellers to push it below RM7..
