harvard and alex..appreciate your advise. everyone should trade with caution after doing their own homework. it might go down again, who knows. but there is a significant difference between csl and solution. we all know csl is a chinese company and we know how badly chinese companies does on bursa. what more, csl is also on the verge of suspension for their inability to come out with an annual report. always not a good sign. but i agree. anything can happen but we will just have to see.

baring no more price manipulation, this counter should go up. in the short term prob up til 0.16 and medium term 0.20. 0.30 is abit far fetched. agreed with kakijudi, fundamentals are sound. it is a company making money with good net cash amount. look at other counters e.g. nice which is trading at 0.16. it made losses of 11 mil this year with negative net cash (cash - debt< 0).

sephi, correct me if i'm wrong but from my past observations, most rights issue will lead to a downward movement in price in short term even before ex-rights date. that said, this is public bank and they prob feel that they will not have any issues in getting subscribers as evident from them issuing the rights without any free warrants

morning all. sephi, what's the indicative rights issue price.

tbh of all the stocks that got slaughtered yday, solution is one of the better ones. still making profits + net cash position. so despite the manipulation, at least intrinsically it is sound unlike most goreng loss-making companies

good annual report. holding well with negative market sentiment. should move when sentiments turns

bro tj and duitkwsp, any guess on solutn's closing today?
2014-04-29 08:52 | Report Abuse
most probably someone cashing out. from both itronic and solutn. common shareholders. note that even with the bloodbath, itronic sold solutn's shares at a gain (0.12++ vs 0.10 cost)

thanks matrix. bloodbath today for solutn, mnc, vis and itronic...someone is pulling out

morning everyone. as duitkwsp said, this counter is likely manipulated. how low can it go? anyone's guess. probably good to watch the 0.25 mark.
fundamentally, the past year (2013) has been quite a good one for them. turned around a loss to a gain, albeit quite a small one. It also is a marked changed in trend from falling revenues from 2010 to 2012. Whether this will continue we will have to see. It has a healthy amount of cash when compared to its liabilities. (11 mil cash vs approx 4-5 mil of debt), so technically it will not go bust. Gross margins for the business is good at 40-50%. Net margins for the 4th quarter 2013 is good at >20% but overall cummulative for year 2013, the net margin is <10%. This is mainly due to the high admin expenses. This is a big contributor of cost for the company and should be monitored for any improvements for the company to do well. Essentially, the main concern about the company comes down to its earnings. It made 700k last year. While it is a positive compared to the negative earnings in 2012, it is still low compared to its market cap. it has a market cap of approx 50 mil. This means the PE is >50x.
Trade at your own risk

hi joyous, think on FA, a good book would be "One Up on Wallstreet". Found it quite easy to understand and focuses on a few key indicators.

morning toni.
abit of movement today. this counter got good fundamentals. don't need worry. like i said i don't see it breaking 0.75 soon with much upside. when the warrants come to play there could be some movement as well

0.295 is very attractive haha
2014-04-24 17:08 | Report Abuse
yes. this is a mid term play as i mentioned. it is fresh off news announcement and one should not expect another sharp increase so soon without any significant news.
I am not sure what you mean actually. like i said, it should not have any impact on market price. the consolidation is normal after the rally it has experienced. i personally do not think it has got anything to do with the par value reduction

Hi pathew,
I share your sentiments on matrix. lots of potential. only concern is the price appreciation since last year. it has moved quite significantly since its listing, no doubt due to the reasons you mentioned above. The good thing about it though is that even without an appreciation of share price it will still give you dividends. I remember the mgmt decided to give a dividend right after the listing to stabilize its price and prevent a pump and dump which is quite prevalent on listing day.
similarly, ecoworld has lots of potential and will no doubt be a good company but it also has risen quite significantly after the corporate exercise last year leading to it being a tan sri liew play. on another note, its shares are as of now suspended. any guess on the material announcement? pumping in of some assets following liew's entry in mgmt?

more of a convention. there have been proposals around for a no par value system which exists in most major markets today

morning everyone. thanks for sharing matrix.
pathew, although i view e&o's STP2 very favourably, I am of the opinion that it could struggle with the slower property market landscape. It's products are high end ones which i think would be hit the most in the coming years. bank negara will likely impose more restrictions as the recent data suggest while volume of transaction dipped, value is still going up. I agree with you that developers that cater for homeowners would likely withstand the slowdown well. there is still genuine demand for reasonably priced landed property. what do you think of hua yang?
2014-04-24 12:22 | Report Abuse
I think you are of the opinion that the par value gives a certain indication to the market value. I personally feel it doesn't. Valuations are based on the Net tangible assets or book value of the equity not the par value. i can have a par value of 0.25, 0.50 or 1.00 but if the net assets i have doesn't change, from a valuation perspective, the company is worth the same. In valuation you judge the multiple on book value not par value. to me par value is an accounting concept
