Good news for all the local banks trying to raise enough funds for Basel3. Now postponed a year from 1/1/2018 to earliest of 1/1/2019. Downside is they won't offer such good FD rates to raise funds for now.

Buying century when it has everything is like buying public Bank now. Has everything and so expensive, share can't go up much.

yes they do not own a parcel delivery company yet. But that is just part of the process in century's business. ie. all banks also need to attract FD deposits with promos to achieve the requirements for Basel III NSFR.
If a company has everything completed then you won't much of a growth in stock prices and the company itself isnt it?
They are fundamentally solid from management and planning. And Korean CJ isnt throwing money away by buying such a big stake in century.
Maybe century will buy a stake in a parcel delivery or they can partner one if the price is too exorbitant. Either way they know what they are doing.

the thing about most GLCs n private companies run like GLCs are a bloated workforce n languid pace of doing things. A change of management n directors might look good for investors but ultimately the whole machinery is still the same.

Agree with you, BornToSpeculate. Valuation of these sites which are popular on FB with ads for smaller organizations and sensational news is hard to valuate. With the MS shield buying, it is very fishy. Maybe someone is trying to avoid Media from sliding too low, too fast. Time will tell.

Rev will sell. The good thing about digital media is they can always come up with a few sites to replace OHbulan, viramcham, rojaklah. Media prima after taking over, if they are not nimble and operate like a government body then no way can make much profit also. The purchase will be in vain.
