1. Perdana Petroleum's book of RM1.4bil will provide earnings for next 4 years.
2. Sunway Bhd plans to develop a RM450mil high-rise residential property project and a RM1.05bil shopping mall over the next two years on 9.82ha in Paya Terubong, Penang which it acquired recently.
3. The 944MW Murum hydroelectric dam in the upper Rajang basin, Sarawak is expected to begin producing power for energy-intensive industries in early September.

Kelana Resort roof collapses. A rooftop at the Klana Resort, Seremban, lobby area gave way due to a leakage in one of the pipe system of the ceiling on Saturday morning. No casualties or injuries were reported. The picture shown one ugly sight..hmmm
Science Adviser to the Prime Minister Professor Emeritus Datuk Seri Dr Zakri Abdul Hamid has done the country proud as one of the winners of the Zayed International Prize for the Environment 2014 in Dubai yesterday. Zakri is also Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (Might) joint chairman. According to a statement issued by Might today, he shares this year's Zayed Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievement with Indian scientist, Ashok Kosla. It said the USD1 million prize was divided among winners in three categories. The other categories are Global Leadership in Environment, Scientific andTechnological Achievement in Environment, and Environmental Action Leading toPositive Change in Society..Wow not bad, not bad Malaysia!!!

Canadian investment firm Mawer Investment Management Ltd has ceased becoming a substantial shareholder in MyEG Services Bhd. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Thursday, MyEG said Mawer has sold 1.708 million shares or 0.2% stake, based on its paid-up of 590.21 million shares. After the disposal, Mawer now holds 28.94 million shares, or 4.9% stake in MyEG. MyEG closed Thursday down half a sen at RM2.66.
