ICON Offshore listing will be big.. the spillover to TGOFFS will be a great boost..

Icon Offshore is the result of a marriage between mid-sized OSV players Tanjung Kapal Services Sdn Bhd, previously a unit of oil and gas service provider Tanjung Offshore Bhd, and little-known OMNI Petromaritime Sdn Bhd.

The merged entity, with assets of RM1.2bil, commands a 13% share of the anchor handling tug and supply market as well as a fleet size of 28 vessels with two under construction, making it the third largest OSV operator domestically.

The top two OSV players are Bumi Armada Bhd and Alam Maritim Resources Bhd with 43 and 33 vessels respectively.

Asked about possible valuations for the IPO, Rahman estimated that Icon Offshore could fetch a market capitalisation of about RM1bil.

Icon Offshore, which has a relatively young average fleet age of 3.5 years, is currently “highly profitable”, Rahman said without disclosing figures.

The merged entity will have a bigger balance sheet and global client base, allowing it to take on larger, more complex projects, its CEO Dr Jamal Yusof explained.

He was the founder and managing director of OMNI Petromaritime. Capt Hassan Ali, the former CEO of Tanjung Kapal, has been appointed his deputy.

On another note, Rahman said he did not rule out the prospect of more mergers and acquisitions to consolidate the fragmented OSV industry, in which 70% of the operators have fewer than 10 vessels each.

“Consolidation will be positive not only for shareholder value creation but also for the industry as a whole. We are open to opportunities,” he pointed out.

It is moving slowly but still haven't pick up strong pace yet.. already moved up from 0.56 recently up till 0.58 before fall back to 0.57+/-. Need transaction value abt rm10million to have some good impact.

and sudden spike around 3.20pm till 0.58 from low 0.56 but theres no follow through in buying strength. Price closing at 0.565.

I feel today TGOFFS price might have hit the bottom sell level and some buyers try to buy up during the rebound and test see the market reactions. If theres more seller queue again, the buying will stop and try to wait 4 buyers to sell at lower price..

Once the seller queue subside/big players convince all weak seller/contra already sell off... then the real rebound will comes back. Price must be supported/go above 0.575/0.58 to indicates good rebound uptrend sign.

With recent Gastec completely acquired, financial year ended Dec 31, 2012, Gastec generated a net profit of RM5.38 million on revenue of RM34.48 million.
For 2013? TGOFFS also acquired United Kingdom-based company, Wavenet Investments Ltd, for RM37.18 million. Expected to make higher profit as well to boost TGOFFS qtrly & yrly profit.

With good contribution from GASTEC and other new subsidiary, big corporate exercise in their plan + coming fin qtr result.. TGOFFS will be hot again coz the big players still inside.

According to a source, if successful, the new asset would become Tanjung Offshore’s main business.

Tanjung Offshore told the stock exchange that it was currently identifying suitable business entities or assets, and intended to carry out acquisitions to complement its existing businesses.

End of day analysis confirm the emergence of strong big players.
This stock already a black horse and charging/running up fast and not yet show sign of slowing down with breaking heavy resistance at 0.60/0.605 bfr proceed to break 0.62/0.625 convincing with good vol at the closing time. Strong support at 0.60 and next resistance will be 0.635 - 0.65+. If breaks 0.65, it will be moving towards 0.70+/-

If base on recent resistant price will be 0.635 - 0.65.
With strong spike up buy vol today, total transaction abt RM12 million, buy 61%, avg price 0.60, closing at around 0.625, its possible to break upper resistance lvl 0.65++ in short term if the buying strength maintain tomorrow onwards. Good luck.
