The Board of Directors of Ho Hup Construction Company Berhad (“Ho Hup” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that the Company had on 24 August 2020 accepted the Letter of Award (“LA”) from Dhaya Maju Infrastructure (Asia) Sdn Berhad (“DMIA”) for the design, construction, completion, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the proposed upgrading of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (“KTMB”) station and facilities for Project Menaiktaraf Kemudahan Infrastruktur Landasan Keretapi Berkembar Di Lembah Klang (KVDT) Fasa 2 (“KVDT Contract”).



The KVDT Contract is for a duration of thirty-six (36) months, from 21 August 2020 to 20 August 2023 at the total contract sum of Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred Thirty-Seven Million One Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand and Nine Hundred Twenty (RM137,122,920.00) only (inclusive of the prevailing Sales and Service Tax).



The LA will have no effect on the issued share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of the Company. The LA is expected to contribute positively to the revenue, earnings per share and net assets per share of Ho Hup Group and is not expected to have a material effect on the gearing of Ho Hup Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2020 onwards until the expiry of the KVDT Contracts.



The Company does not foresee any exceptional risk other than operational risk associated with the LA during the contract period.



None of the Directors and/or the substantial shareholders of the Company and/or persons connected with the Directors and/or substantial shareholders have any interest, direct or indirect in the LA.



The Board of Directors of the Company is of the opinion that the acceptance of the LA is in the best interest of the Company.

1. Ini baru "scam" yang sebenarnya. Kita kena scam (tipu) berpuluh-puluh bilion ringgit melalui skim penipuan 1MDB.

2. Kalau tidak ada unsur scam dalam 1MDB, masakan kita boleh tuntut pihak yang terlibat supaya bagi balik duit yang mereka scam daripada kita?

3. 1MBD ini asalnya tabung kemakmuran Terengganu bernama Terengganu Development Authority atau TIA. Otak di belakangnya adalah Jho Low.

4. Kemudian bila Mohd Najib Abdul Razak jadi Perdana Menteri pada tahun 2009, dia dan Jho Low ambil alih kegiatan TIA dan bawa ke Kuala Lumpur untuk jadi syarikat kerajaan pusat bernama 1Malaysia Development Berhad atau 1MDB.

5. Najib lantik diri dia jadi pegawai nombor satu 1MDB selaku Pengerusi Lembaga Penasihat Antarabangsa dengan Jho Low sebagai eksekutif de facto nombor satu.

6. Maka bermulalah skim scam besar-besaran menggunakan nama dan jaminan Kerajaan Malaysia untuk berhutang di dalam dan luar negara serta melabur dalam projek-projek yang kebanyakannya tidak wujud.

7. Dalam meminjam di luar negara, Najib dan Jho Low guna khidmat bank pelaburan Amerika Goldman Sachs. Inilah syarikat yang disebutkan oleh Menteri Kewangan, Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, dalam laporan yang saya lampirkan.

8. Unsur scam ini mula dikesan apabila Goldman Sachs dibayar komisyen AS$600 juta (kira-kira RM2.7 bilion pada kadar tukaran hari ini).

9. Satu dunia, termasuk Kerajaan Amerika, terkejut dengan jumlah komisyen yang Najib dan Jho Low bayar kepada Goldman Sachs.

10. Sebaik saja membentuk kerajaan pada tahun 2018, Pakatan Harapan (PH) terus menuntut ganti rugi daripada Goldman Sachs dan mengambil tindakan undang-undang terhadap Najib dan pesekongkolnya dalam scam itu.

11. Tetapi bukan Malaysia saja yang sedang atau sudah ambil tindakan ke atas Goldman Sachs. Amerika, Singapura, Switzerland dan beberapa buah negara lain juga turut mengambil tindakan.

12. Kerajaan Amerika bercadang mendenda Goldman Sachs AS$2 bilion (RM9 bilion) kerana terlibat dengan skandal 1MDB itu.

13. Singapura dan Switzerland menutup beberapa buah bank persendirian (private bank) yang terlibat menyalurkan duit scam 1MDB itu bagi pihak Najib dan Jho Low.

14. Hanya di Malaysia saja perbicaraan masih dijalankan. Di negara lain yang terlibat semuanya sudah dipenjarakan, didenda dan diharamkan daripada bergiat dalam industri perbankan.

15. Ini barulah scam sebebarnya iaitu apabila pihak yang kena scam rugi berpuluh bilion ringgit dan menanggung beban yang sangat berat. Bukan scam di mana mangsa dapat habuan RM42 juta.

16. Walaupun Kerajaan PH telah ditumbangkan oleh Perikatan Nasional dalam rampasan kuasa Mac lalu, kita harap tindakan undang-undang ke atas "scammer/ scammers" 1MDB diteruskan tanpa tolak ansur.

17. Kita harap, Tengku Zafrul sebagai bekas eksekutif perbankan lebih arif dalam hal mendapatkan ganti rugi daripada Goldman Sachs dan meneruskan saman ke atas syarikat itu.

18. Kita kena ingat bahawa akibat scam 1MDB ini saja, negara menanggung hutang lebih RM42 bilion dan banyak aset nasional seperti Edra Global Energy telah jatuh ke tangan pelabur asing, khususnya negeri China.

19. Tak tahulah saya kalau ada lagi manusia Malaysia, khususnya Melayu-Islam, yang masih percaya dengan cerita penglipur lara scam yang menguntungkan mangsa atau skandal 1MDB adalah rekaan.

20. Kalau ada, memanglah layak mereka disamakan dengan ayam daging yang disumbat dedak dan steroid kemudian disembelih.
