one of the reason for sell down is the weird share dividend ratio, either have to buy/sell quite a chunk to get standard 100 share entitlement lot...if not, will be holding odd lots which is a hassle and harder to sell.

one needs to hold blocks of 4500 shares for each 100 share entitlement. If just few hundred shares short, easy to top up, but if not enough cash, need to sell to the nearest 4500 share block. How many small retailers has close to 4000 shares at this point?

since most retail holder have limited cash to up their holdings, there would be more sell than buy to meet this share dividend exercise.

usually, 7 trading days green without a breather, must close red a bit, if not too bullish, correction will be harsh...

weirdly to say, i wish monday small red or next whole week range bound before continuing uptrend.

my last paragraph is a general statement, not saying that a lot of fundswill flow to supermax and pump up for sure....

when liquidity awash, generally good for stock market, a lot of counters will start moving and a lot more can goreng for no reason....

2nd, foreign funds are really averse towards malaysia now no thanks to our shitty political landscape that just creates too many negative surprises....hence they rather hold mercator than all the big 4 here (even despite malaysia is the de facto leader of glove)...only foreign funds can bring big price velocity for high cap counters, local funds have limited scale to do that.

Here is the lowdown based on a brief look at the financial performance from reading their latest announcement and commentaries (my mere opinion) :
1) the numbers don't look fantastic, but not too bad, just not great, more of a meh category
2) this stock's price is pretty much at fair value now
3) anything above 1.50 is really pushing the limits into goreng category
4) the share price tracks general glove makes sentiment, but hlt's financial performance doesn't
5) so, if want to hold this stock, only hope is that other main glove makes share price continue to go higher; then this counter also follow up goreng.

For those holding this counter, can monitor till next quarter announcement. If still so so, just dump it. For me, i'm keeping it because of reason (5) and my average cost is below rm1.
