I think if you look at the news from tw, the tender is actually a property development kind of contact, i guess the superstructure statement might be due to the nature of the construction as it will be constructed on the existing airport transit station. But cash flow wise, i believe thats why malton roping in CPPIB to free up approx. 300m of cash flow

Comparing Damen to Pavilion BJCC, it shall be safe to assume the market value of Pavilion BJCC at RM1.6bil with 1.8m lettable area. However, refering to the earlier news article about Canadian Pension Fund interest in the ball at initial stage, the value is only 2-400mil with a GDV of 3b, i wonder what is the other cost that bring up the value of the mall? Looking at Malton's balance sheet, i believe that the construction cost of the mall will not exceed 1bil.
The mall aside, i believe Malton shall at least trading at 50% of its NTA at the current moment to be fair

I believe it is the request of Canadian Pension Fund to include partnership of Pavillion Reit for the acquisition to be done so that they are assured of the pavillion branding after acquiring the mall

Sorry people do buy islamic insurance from takaful ikhlas, back in 2013 it was reported that "The company is currently ranked third among takaful companies behind Etiqa Takaful Bhd and Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Bhd in terms of total gross contribution."

Disclaimer, i am also holding ecs but at the same time i do think that mnrb is cheap at 40% of its nta as an islamic insurance company
2018-07-25 23:04 | Report Abuse
Calvin your analysis on pnb/amanah plan for mnrb is totally subpar. What makes u think that pnb will let go of its 50% controlling stake via open market, right issue at this scale is peanut to them and not to forget the bod shd be appointed by amamah/pnb which means pnb is consulted for this move

Malton will not be a shopping mall as it is understood that pavillion bkit bintang will be acquired by pavillion reit after certain years of operation. Nevertheless malton will definitely benefit much from it

is a battle between buyer vs sozai fund again
2018-06-01 00:43 | Report Abuse
He is near to the creeping acquisition 2% threshold but looking at the pace can know he might not be willing to trigger it, for info about mgo can refer to bursa regulation good to study
2018-05-30 22:36 | Report Abuse
Eh halo if mgo then the price must be the highest price he acquired in dunno 2 or 6 months la, but most probably he won't trigger mgo la. Use proxy to buy

Another 2mil of buying from desmond lim will trigger mgo

It cannot be stupid just because you cant think of the reason. Anyway if u follow the company well, you would know the reason for the odd lot buyback. I will assume you are just a passerby who dont own a single shareand thus did not follow the company's update well =)

Catalyst 1. CCCC investment in STP2
Catalyst 2. Sime Darby further divestment of 10% to Tham and associates
Catalyst 3. Weakholders washed out nicely around RM1.4-1.5

Possible, but the land valuation for the deal is the essence. If they manage to negotiate anything above RM300/sq ft then i believe it will be a boost to E&O's share price

Not forgetting the construction works from Pavillion and other Desmond Lim companies....this is a company which i am quite sure it will make better profit year by year (unless unforeseen execution risk arise)

0.64 is 30% of the "future NTA" after adding in these almost confirm earnings without any serious hike in construction cost.

yupe.if my accounting knowledge dont fail me la
I buy Malton because the 1.5bil 90% sales achived of its Bukit Jalil project which will almost certainly help them to achieve better earnings in the coming years compared with the previous (baring in mind execution risk)
+more in-house construction works coming in

i just look through the intangible assets again, it was shown in the annual report that gaming rights is the major component, standing at 6bil. But when refer to BJtoto's balance sheet, intangible only 700mil. Does berjaya sports toto park its gaming license at Bjcorp? orelse what other gaming rights does bjcorp posses other than the one in Bjtoto?
2016-06-14 10:27 | Report Abuse
Wanna ask all the sifu here, what is the major component of the RM6bil goodwill? Is it mainly goodwill from acquisition or gaming license?
