i just can not believe a US company will deliver vaccine to bintai because US also very much wanted the vaccine herself.....i am still remember US custom seized a PPE shipment at HK airport which supposing enroute to france....this shows that bintai shall not be able to get the vaccine IF and only IF out by US firm.....run, run, run
very funny mou!!! what the value of a signed paper if the content can not be materalised?? we call it old trick or investor confident which do not have any value in money term. i just can not see bintai can get the US vaccine.
Some key points from KJ's discussion with MHI and The Star 1) Vaccine will come in stages, Covax may only distribute 3% initially and grew to 50% by stages. 2) It will cost billions from (i) procuring from multiple companies as well as (ii) distribution to the public. 3) Vaccine cost may range from USD5-60 per doses, some companies' vaccine may require 2 doses of vaccine (2nd doses as a booster when the vaccine count drop). 4) Bulk purchases of vaccine from companies and the fill-finish process can be done in Malaysia, in talks with several companies on this matter. 5) Country could also develop e-health certificate under MySejahtera app, indicating an individual have been vaccinated.
From the above points, we can conclude that, the industry of vaccine is huge (which cost billions, from fill-finish till the distribution). Hence, we believe whoever that has signed MOU with companies overseas have a chance to translate that into earnings eventually (it also depends on the execution of the companies).
From what we have gathered along the way, traders may be interested to trade on these particular few themes:-
(i) vaccine-related companies: BINTAI, SOLUTN, KANGER, HWGB, BIOHLDG, most of them have MOUs with companies that are developing vaccines. (ii) Pharmaceutical companies: PHARMA, DPHARMA, KOTRA, AHEALTH, YSPSAH (iii) Distribution segment: PHARMA (has logistics segment), TASCO, DKSH. (iv) e-health certificate / technology: HONGSENG (previously MYSCM).
