Not surprised by now PNB is no longer major shareholder. As BOB said, they are using the old trick of shaving holdings in small lot. They will pare down shareholdings and announce... not before

Dates are irrelevant. They are delayed anyways.

As long as 5% is not breached, they can keep quiet.

Even if 5% is breached, they have months before news becomes public.

Key is 5%

I said, PNB dont have to announce if threshold of 5% is not breached.

The duty of SAP is to announce these major change in shareholdings, not shareholders to wait for news from other source.

If SAP didnt announce, means they dont have to, PNB dont have to.. No one has to.

Because 5% is not breached.

Huang, your information is incorrect. That 5% is to determine if you are a major shareholder. If you have 5% or more, than you have to declare ALL your acquisitions or disposal of shares.

They only have to announce if they are a major shareholder of the listed entity & buy/sell shares of that entity. They know which companies they are a major shareholder & which they aren't. They don't announce everything

As for Qatar Energy, let the man making the claim answer. You yourself can bring him to court if you want. You can also ask QE, PNB, MCMC, SC etc to take action. None of my business. However, it is NOT a crime, since the action claimed is itself not a crime. OTOH, you claimed that PNB committed a crime by not making a mandatory announcement. Learn the difference

Example.. EPF disposed on Kossan stocks and after disposal still holds above 5%

EPF didnt announce.

Kossan did.

So.. same scenario....

PNB sold over large chunk of their stock in SAP.. after disposal still hold above 5%

PNB didnt announce

SAP also didnt announce.

So who is right or wrong?
