“For its institutional investors, I do not think they are inclined to dispose the stake at current levels,” MIDF Research analyst Martin Foo said when contacted.
Maybank Investment Bank Research analyst Samuel Yin Shao Yang said the exercise will have to rely on the valuation offered.
“To realise the move, Astro has to work it out with the bankers as to how much bankers are willing to lend for the buyout to happen. One of the elements that will be considered is Astro’s net debt over Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) ratio, which is about two times less, and normally bankers will be okay at least up to seven times.
“If the net debt over Ebitda ratio is higher, it will allow the company to borrow more and offer the privitasition at a higher price,” he said.
astro will start to recover today after index-linked funds had exited in the past few days :)

Got a lots of bulk seller. Very hard to go up. Now it looks like Astro is a very low grade company by looking at the stock price performance. Could it be foreigners who are selling?
A lots of one shot sale worth around RM400,000. These are the sales preventing the price to go up. This has been going on for 2 weeks already. Now the push-down can only plummet the price by 2-3 cents each round.
