On ECRL, I think PM intention is to increase local contractor participation rate and ensure money outflow from our country is not excessive. If this can be met, I think quite safely the Project will be continue with smaller scale.
Our East Malaysia state already partner with CCCC for cooperating in some rail JV, chances are pretty good for ECRL revival.
Tun M need to juggle the cost as it's too expensive and he doesn't want to service the payment loan for 40 to 50 years. He have his points. The country is in debt and can't afford the ECRL. Apart from the cost, the heavy penalty for the cancellation of ECRL signed by najib razak during BN gov. I seriously wonder how najib razak can sign such contracts whereby it didn't benefit Malaysians.
The Contract comprises piling, pilecap and basement works for a proposed integrated development which comprises residential towers, podium block, retail space, serviced apartments, common facilities, high street, facilities block for serviced apartments, facility floor, show gallery, event hall, promenade, basement as well as elevated parking, for a contract sum of RM68.8 million. The overall duration of the Contract is approximately eighteen (18) months.
Award of Contract for Piling, Pilecap and Basement Works for the Proposed Integrated Development which comprises Residential Towers, Podium Block, Retail Space, Serviced Apartments, Common Facilities, High Street, Facilities Block for Serviced Apartments, Facility Floor, Show Gallery, Event Hall, Promenade, Basement as well as Elevated Parking at Plot 8MD3, Precinct 8, Putrajaya
