Dear Johny Khong, last Friday DJIA fell by a massive 390.97 points and crude oil is at US29.65. Can you kindly please share to us what should we do or what is the market phsycology should we apply.
For me is very simple. Just ride on d mkt volatility and hang tight as it is just temporary. If u truly understand OWG's biz model and its growth agenda, then there is really nothing much to worry abt. I take a medium term view of my OWG investment.
Well summarized. Fyi, OWG has now closed at an all-time high and I predict a breakout soon. May d best be with all here who truly believe in OWG's potentials and adopt value investing strategy. Since going public, OWG's ROI is more than 200% now. Isn't tis stock fantastic???
Lonely Planet names the Unesco world heritage site the "fourth most charismatic city to visit in 2016.”
GEORGETOWN: George Town has been ranked as one of 2016’s top 10 cities by largest travel guide publisher Lonely Planet, a fact celebrated greatly by Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng. “Penang is named one of the most charismatic cities in the world and in the same level as cities like Rotterdam, Dunlom and Mumbai,” said Lim Guan Eng in a report by the Malay Mail Online. Ranked the fourth most charismatic city to visit in 2016, the Unesco world heritage site was described as “the crucible of an artsy, modern Malaysia”, and ranked above cities like Rotterdam, Mumbai and Rome. The article listed the top 10 cities as Kotor, Quito, Dublin, George Town, Rotterdam, Mumbai, Fremantle, Manchester, Nashville and Rome. Article writer Brett Atkinson opined that George Town’s modern and artsy scene was a “fascinating counterpoint to its historical Unesco World heritage listed streetscape”, and waxed lyrical over the Hin Bus Depot Art Centre along with the city’s regular arts and music festivals that was complemented by “hip accommodations” provided by the city’s growing number of chic boutique hotels. Atkinson also touched on the hawker food, classic restaurant experiences like at Kebaya in Seven Terraces and even a market tour and cooking class at Nazlina Spice Station. “Combining Indian, Malay and Chinese influences, Asia’s best street food can be found amid the heritage streets and lanes of Georgetown, Malaysia,” said Atkinson.
Let see how it goes for long term.. Don't judge it so fast! Nah !!! Gengster like u only... Overall the group is doing good. They have the long term business and this counter is not related to oil and gas..
Almost all of the private placement is going to the Komtar tower which is currently the major factor for the CIMB "ADD" rating.
"Based on OWG's historical ticket prices in Genting Highlands, an average RM30 per ticket is not unreasonable. At pre-tax margin of 30%, the themed attractions division could lift FY16 to FY18F EPS by 10% to 25% and could raise our share price valuation to RM6.03," he noted.
"If we include the upside potential both from higher ticket prices and the themed attractions, our FY16 to FY18F EPS could rise by 16% to 71%, which could lift our share price valuation to RM8," he added.
CIMB Research maintained its "add" rating on OWG, with an unchanged target price of RM4.93.
Private placement is a very bad news. I have seen how Evergreen and Instanco drop because of private placement. Come at a wrong timing where the global market is so gloomy.
dont think so negatively. nothing is free in this world. ya, investor have to fork out certain amount but have a check, total borrowing is still the same. with this sufficient of $$ to expand komtar, do believe it will generate good profit to the investor.
They will block the price from going up because if too expensive no one wants to take up the private placement shares. They want to block the price at RM2.50 to make the private placement price to be 90/100 * 2.50 = RM2.25. Then the target price got to be diluted. Already diluted once because of bonus issues, now got to dilute again because of the 10% private placement. For the next 1 month, the price will be either stagnant or go down. Haizzzz...
If u think from business perspective, private placement is good during this bad time. Its not easy to get fund nowadays with interest around 5%/p.a. Imagine how much interest you need to fork out per annum for a loan of RM50mil. So to me its better to secure the fund earlier than late. OWG is a growth stock. So get prepare for the roller coaster until the earnings kicking in in 3rd qtr this year..
I cant see what other sector to invest now.. i will definitely avoid property and finance until we see slight improvement to our economy. Timber stock mostly all fully priced in. And glove counters are super crazy priced. So... so what else that we can invest??
RM2.10? Lol.... it will take few more heavy drops to reach there... but if OWG drops to RM2.10, I believe you can check out counters as well.. especially blue chips.. they might be better bargain
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
