This was the story before I stepped into stock market.
I have a few friends who have been in KLSE since 2010.
I was curious about how stock market works, how their performance was and what would be their advices to me, before I enter KLSE.
One thing that troubled me was they always refused to talk about any of these.
Friend A told me, “it’s difficult to explain, it’s better for you to directly try it yourself if you want to know more.”
Friend B told me, “my performance….not too sure, but not earning much and not losing much. Just try to make a living.”
Friend C told me, “just go online and look for blogs and forums to learn. If you’re willing to pay, join those investment courses out there.”
I was totally not satisfied with their replies.
From my point of view, they are knowledgeable, but why are they just not willing to share?
Later on, I discover that there is a peculiar phenomenon in stock market community.
When people benefit from your sharing, people don’t really voice out their gratitude.
When people lose money because of your sharing, people will smear you.
Sadly, this is not limited to individual only.
Sometimes, these kinds of people even defame a company that caused them to lose, not knowing that Companies Do Have Their Own Profit Cycle.
So, as I recall my friends’ replies,
I guess perhaps they just worry that similar things might happen between me and them, if their sharing were not appreciated.
May be they just don’t feel like being involved in others’ earning or losses, so they tend to share less and prefer to just let sleeping dogs lie.
Seem like it is not easy to find an ally in KLSE that can cheer together.
Doing stock selection together,
Making profit together,
Review mistakes that cause loss together,
And creating a healthier stock market community together.
Try to make this journey of investing not so lonely.
Of course, this is just my personal thoughts.
I do find that there are many contributors in i3 here that are willing to share and give compliments to each other.
I appreciate these very much!
Hope everyone manage to find their truthful allies in KLSE.
P/S: To sharpen my skill, I do share some stock watch in Invest for Life and facebook https://www.facebook.com/investforlife.com.my/.
