The migrant labour issue in Malaysia is heating up. Depending on who you speak to, opinions vary widely as to whether or not more foreign labour is needed in the country. However, study done by World Bank shows that foreign labour is good for the economy and will lead to higher order jobs for locals.

 

What is the solution? And what are the right policies to put in place? We speak to two economists from the World Bank to get their views on the matter.

Yes, we do need some foreign workers, but not to the extend that become the 2nd largest ethnic in Malaysia, and certainly not another 2 millions more from bangla.
