FIABCI calls for review of RPGT

GEORGE TOWN: The International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) has urged the federal government to review the Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) as a move to stimulate the secondary property market and reduce property overhang.

FIABCI Malaysia president Michael Geh said the primary and secondary property markets are on the path to recovery and positive sentiment is important to maintain the pace. — Bernama

Better remove the 5% property gain tax after house kept for 5 years

Many who own houses passed down from 50 to 100 years ago will be taxed too

PH GOVT going to offend many older citizens

Or at least extend to 10 years limit.

After 10 years holding period all houses should not be subjected to rpgt

This pH Govt does not have proper governance
