KUALA LUMPUR: The police force will ensure that all incentives and allocations announced in the 2025 Budget (Belanjawan 2025) will be used effectively to ensure public order and national security.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said they remained focused on delivering services based on integrity and good governance.

"We will continue to support government policies toward ensuring national prosperity and public harmony," he said today.

Razarudin said among the allocations announced included RM2.12 billion for the procurement of assets for the police and other uniformed bodies under the Home Ministry, RM2.1 billion for the building of the Pahang state police headquarters, Petaling Jaya and Wangsa Maju district headquarters and Tanjung Minyak police station in Melaka as well as RM5 million to supply clean water via hybrid measures utilising rainwater and groundwater following water supply constraints within the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone).

"We also welcome the RM1.8 billion allocation for the building and maintenance of civil servant living quarters which includes the police, Fire and Rescue Department, Prisons Department and Armed Forces.

"A total of RM560 million was also announced to strengthen border security and control including building two border posts at Bantul and Serundung in Sabah as well as equipping enforcement bodies with artificial intelligence-based technology and drones," he said, adding that the RM20 million allocation to enhance the role of the National Scam Response Centre was also welcomed.

Razarudin said other incentives announced included the RM500 Bantuan Khas Kewangan for civil servants and RM250 for government retirees, treatment outsourcing at the National Heart Institute involving government pensioners as well as the collaboration with 91 private hospitals to establish competitive prices for the government.
