Comparing ECL of 1Q19 and 4Q18, the increase in ECL was mainly due to
i)Unfavourable forecast of forward looking macroeconomic factor applied to household sector portfolio which increased lifetime ECL for stage 2 impairment.

ii) Higher non-performing financing from household sector portfolio which increased ECL for stage 3 impairment.

iii) Higher ECL charge for Corporate customers in stage 1 and stage 2.

Comparing ECL of 1Q19 and 1Q18, the increase in ECL was due to 1Q18 recorded writeback as a result of staging improvement from stage 2 to stage 1.

Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad (“Hibiscus Petroleum”) refers to an article published on Upstream Online titled “Petrofac launches appeal against UK prohibition notice” dated 16 April 2019 (“the Article”).



In the Article, it is stated “the prohibition notice was served against Petrofac Facilities Management, which has been running the FPSO on behalf of Anasuria Operating Company (AOC), a joint venture between Malaysian companies Hibiscus Petroleum and Ping Petroleum, since 2016.”



Such a statement may have caused some confusion given that our indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Anasuria Hibiscus UK Limited (“AHUK”), jointly operates the Anasuria Cluster via AOC with Ping Petroleum UK Limited.



In relation thereto, we wish to clarify that subsequent to a routine visit by the Health and Safety Executive (“HSE”) in late February 2019 to the Anasuria FPSO, Petrofac as duty holder of the offshore production facility, was instructed through the prohibition notice, to temporarily halt production pending the mitigation of a potential risk identified by HSE inspectors in relation to the asset’s flare tip. As a result, production was temporarily halted and over the next six days, decisive action was taken by Petrofac and AHUK to mitigate any potential risk. Other previously planned maintenance work was also simultaneously undertaken during this period. There were no injuries or loss of containment as a result of this matter.

Our understanding is that Petrofac is appealing the issuance of the prohibition notice by the HSE.



This temporary production halt is not expected to impact our crude oil offtake schedule or have any material effect on the earnings of the Hibiscus Petroleum group for the financial year ending 30 June 2019.



We wish to emphasise that Hibiscus Petroleum, AHUK and Petrofac’s priority is always the safety and welfare of all employees and contractors.

DBS group research TP for MKH is 1.70 should be reasonable and achieveable soon base on the recent catalysts: CPO price, IDR resilient, ECRL, Eddy Chen as chairman of PR1MA (strong connection with PH new government). Better and clear earnings visibility for MKH.

Technically it is over. Fundamental next quarter result definately can't be better in term of QoQ or YoY. Conclusion, now is still not the correct timing to keep this kind of stock as selling pressure getting more and more sooner. Time will tell the true. Stay tune and happy investing.
