Interest of RM12.50 receivable every 6 months in June (next month) and December till maturity in June 2021 ie. total RM25.00 every year per 1000 Redeemable Islamic Loanstock (LA). Effective interest returns is about 8% based on the current price of RM0.315 (Much better than 1 year FD rate or even most REITS returns). Conversion to shares is on a 1 to 1 basis anytime (conversion premium is now negligible). Redemption is RM0.50 per LA but is at the option or sole discretion of the issuer company (Hiaptek). Mandatory conversion to shares at maturity if not converted or redeemed earlier. If Hiaptek go 'bust', LA holders have priority over shareholders as creditors for claims on the assets of Hiaptek.
