Some still stayed fully invested since 2010, some even before 2000!
The question is always whether ordinary investors should stay fully invested at all times for the long term, or try to time major market peaks and troughs.
Good luck everybody, happy and prosperous investing/trading.

Ya, concentrate on individual counters, not current general mkt trend and remember ""anytime is a good time to invest"".

Markets inevitably goes thru years of uptrend/downtrend...so its up to us to time, trade or just stay invested throughout all the volatilities.

Investors must stay invested in quality and growth stocks at all times, while timers and traders must be contrarians at all times.

Keep long term uptrending winners, avoid ever downtrending stocks and trade less...the better!

Unlikely to make much by trading downtrending stocks. Slightly better chance if one choose to trade uptrending counters instead. Best method is to buy and hold uptrending winners and ignore all the short to medium term volatilities.

Keep uptrending stocks, not trade downtrending stocks for quick small profits...money is made by sitting, not trading.

I want to invest my money on people who are winners, honest, smart, healthy, passionate...
Isn't Buffett who says that its more likely to make money from a ever profit growing company than trying to make a good return from a consistently loss making entity?
Since i first started trading in 1994, my small and humble portfolio have grown by 9.3% p.a. - a very average return isn't it? I'm sure many of you out there had done much better than me

Savvy investors see opportunities during every crisis.
I prefer winner and the strongest stocks instead of...At least get good vibe/energy buying from a happy /profit making selling trader!
Good karma when everybody make $$$...WIN-WIN!

Nobody in this world could predict short to mid term market direction as accurately as Buffett can do in investing. For why there are many billionaire investors around but so few billionaire day/swing traders?

Livermore also says, ""Money is made by sitting, not trading"" and ""Gimme time, not timing"". Ironic words isn't it coming from a man widely regarded as the greatest market timer/speculator of all!

In market for the long haul? Then concentrate on individual stocks instead of forecasting macro economics or even worse, attempting to time/outsmart mart!

I believe small investors should adopt the fully invested or be at least almost fully invested at all times method. If $250k is allocated in their stock portfolio, they should be buying monthly or quarterly until fully stock up within 25 months or so. Then they should stay invested for at least another 15 years. If they in their opinion spot better prospect names after been maxed up, can always replace or reduce their holdings to make way for that counter.
As for me, i'm fully invested since 2010.
What work for me may not for you, and vice-versa. No right or wrong, so long one is happy, harm nobody and $$$ coming haha!

haha, investing is for the optimist and those who believe that markets over the long term...can only go one way, UP!
Or for those who ignore general mkt trends and sentiments...just concentrate on quality/growth/dvdnd/win names instead of trying to time, forecast, outsmart...mart.
Those who tries to predict market tops, will also try timing mkt bottoms too. Thus instead of buy low sell high, they instead ended buy high and sell...
