他说，此举将进一步推动零售与批发领域成为我国国内生产总值（GDP）的主要贡献者之一，他补充，今年5月，零售与批发领域共贡献了1108亿令吉。

赛夫丁今日出席吉隆坡城中城会展中心举行的第4届马来西亚国际连锁特许加盟展（MIRF）开幕仪式后指出，该领域还需要设定长期的退出策略，以逐步减少我国对外劳的依赖。

他补充，希望上述领域可以提出一个退出策略，这样就不会发生”紧急着陆“（该部再次的禁止该领域聘请外劳）情况。
