Overall, we like the banking sector, being a direct proxy to economic growth. Healthy loans growth & strong asset quality will drive earnings for the sector this year.

BNM has projected the economy to expand by 4% to 5% in 2023, supported by firm domestic demand amid continued improvements in labour market.
