Topglove
Maintain BUY with a revised TP of RM9.63 (previously RM9.31). Our adjusted TP is based on PER of 38.0x pegged to FY22F EPS of 25.3 sen. Our PER valuation of 38.0x is based on +1 SD of its 10-year mean, which we think better portrays its long-term prospects and vast improvement in the near-term outlook. We also think the premium is justified for its leading position, market share and business upcycle. We think that demand for gloves are likely to remain strong in the coming quarters due to unabated number of active cases and higher hygiene awareness. We also like Top Glove for its product and geographical diversification, which allows it to mitigate any potential business risks in any particular market or product segment. As such, we keep our BUY recommendation. Risks to our call include plunge in ASP and overcapacity of production in gloves.

The Topglove CEO guided that the next FY earnings will be at least RM 6 billion.
With its market cap at RM 69 billion, it is trading at a forward 2021 PE of 11+.
Of course, the next FY earnings will be an exceptional one. Projecting its future normalised sustainable earnings and fiture growth have led to marked price volatility.

The problem with this company are its lousy business and its poor management.
Everytime it initiated a project, the project sucked more capital. The initial capital was never enough. In the end, the project failed with contracting revenues and expanding losses.
Pity the whiners, groaners and moaners who were led into this stock by conman calvin and dishonest raider. Almost all of them bought high in end of 2019 and January 2020.
Time is the friend of the investors who are in quality great businesses. Those who own glove companies instead of Netx in end of 2019 and beginning of 2020 are all laughing all the way to their banks.

The insiders are st huge advantage over the retailers, having clarity of future earnings firmly in their knowledge.
Ignore the analysts whose guesses are so wild as to be not useful as a guide. Just look at MacQuarie's extreme swing in valuation over a 2 week period. Has anything changed, except for the analysts' assumptions.

Covid19 has spread worldwide. Public health measures focus on social distancing, face mask and hand washing have been effective. Severe MCO measures disrupt economic activities severely: its future deployment needs to be weighed heavily.
Much hopes are pinned on a safe and effective vaccine. Vaccine research, trials and prodction have been fast tracked. There are concerns expressed that safety might be compromised. The major pharmaceutical companies have pledged they will prioritise safety in this race to produce an effective vaccine.
WHO opines the earliest vaccine for public use will be in 2021. Vaccine research so far have proceeded fast. Already 6 vaccines are in phase 3 trials. Phase 1 involved animal studies, phase 2 involves a few human studies and phase 3 involves few ten of thousands in the study. The world awaits their outcome. When completed and successful, distribution and deploying these vaccines pose new challenges too.

Many glove companies have limited spare capacity to ramp up production of gloves pre-Covid. They soon reached their full capacities. At present ALL the glove companies are on maximum production capacity.
Supermax and Topglove have spare production capacities pre-Covid and able to increase their productions to meet new demands and absorb new customers.
To start a new line of production takes a little time. To start a whole new factory takes 2 years. Even now, the demands exceed supplies.
The ASP of gloves continues its uptrend even today. This has not stopped. All glove companies have advanced orders stretching at least the next 12 months.
