Jian Hau, I think it makes sense also to wait. What I'm trying to say is that it'll be difficult to buy at lowest....the fundamentals here look good. Although I must admit, your suggestion makes sense as well.

any idea why the counter drop? Is it because of the right issue, bad sentiment in the market or any bad news coming up? Because from the earning and profitability seen in the previous years, it seems good. the index is likely to continue to drop since oil price slump continued to amplify but I'm not sure why Inari is not performing....by right, if USD is up and oil price is low, it should be good news for the company to a certain extend.

I understand that there will be different opinion when it comes to investing, but let us try to think rational even in this bearish market. hopefully less arguments and more acceptance on the differing views...

there is no doubt that the drop in O&G will continue to be painful for a while, but if you look at this counter from their earnings, it's worth going into. The P/E is also quite attractive. For the long term, I think this should be a good business.

I doubt it's about ikan bilis or not. I think it's the expectation. The drop is inevitable, given how the market is performing. I just think that we should try to look at the stock market slightly further than a yearly return. Most of us are worried because we wanted quick money.

it's true that they are rich but take one example: Buffett own Coca-Cola for a long time, even until today. But in 1998, there was a sharp drop from 40 to 28. I think at the end of the day, if you buy a good business, you should be quite confident of it. The problem is most people are investing in the short to medium period of time. I look at Inari's earnings which is something that is positive. Don't see any reason to throw it. I might be wrong but it's really how you look at stock market. I think we should look at it as business...

From a technical point of view, definitely has to sell Inari but if you're looking to invest for long term, I'll opt to hold. To buy on weakness is good but I will advise that only if you have substantial amount of cash. No one really know the bottom of it. The US market sentiment is still very bad due to the negative economic outlook in Europe, China and all. But I think at the end of the day, the important thing is how the company is running the business, the business prospect etc.
Caxton, I don't think slts is being mean here. He probably was put off by others in the forum before. At the end of the day, if you're investing with the margin of safety appropriate to your financial standing, I'm sure u'll do well. Good luck!

I think it's common that the stock market react to the negative sentiments. But it depends on how long you intend to hold a certain stock. I agreed with what CHONGWAY is saying based on the historical trend of KLCI. and like CHONGWAY, i doubt it'll go below 2.80 and this is likely to be a temporary blip. I don't recommend averaging down at this time since the market is still very volatile but if you're already on board in Inari, it's definitely no harm holding it for the long term.
