To reduce earnings volatility in plantation, it is a logical to move into downstream business. It will be good if MKH can boost up FFB production to ensure steady supply. Eagerly waiting for MKH to expand its plantation business. It is time to leverage. Happy Investing!

Post right and bonus issue, the liquidity of the shares will boost MKH value.

Right issue likely to be priced at 1.89.
Those attending tomorrow can ask response to the two property launches recently i.e. TR Residence and Boulevard II with total GDV close to 600 to 700 million. It is significance to the level of the unbilled property sales .. earnings visibility. Cheers!

kenken ... the plantation is worth around 1 billion now minus borrowing. So if one buys MKH now one is buying plantation assets and gets the property assets for FREE.
If long awaited limit up IWK can happen and has happened last Friday, which everyone is betting its land value will go higher over time, the same could happen to MKH when MKH undertakes restructuring to unlock its asset value.
The directors have been buying its own shares lately. Guys happy trading!
Public bank is one of the largest shareholders in MKH.

Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia will produce about 900,000 metric ton of biodiesel in 2017, up about 80 percent from half a million metric ton last year, while Indonesian output will rise to 3.5 million metric tons this year from 3 million metric tons in 2016, an industry expert said on Tuesday (07/03).
"These are the forecasts based on the current pricing of crude palm oil and oil prices," said U.R. Unnithan, president of the Malaysian Biodiesel Association on the sidelines of a palm oil industry conference in Kuala Lumpur.
Benchmark palm oil prices are up nearly 3 percent so far this month after sliding 8.5 percent on expectations of rising output and weakening demand in February.
Palm oil is down 1.5 percent at 2,851 ringgit ($640.94) per metric ton on Tuesday evening.
Palm oil can be used to produce the bio components of biodiesel grades sold at retail fuel pumps. Low crude oil prices, though — benchmark crudes are still around half of what they were in mid-2014 — are expected to make it tougher for biodiesel to compete against petroleum diesel.

The purchase of additional palm oil land in Indonesia was completed in December 2016.
Should start contributing profit to the current quarter.
MKH is also to recognise a gain of about RM2.5 million for that bargain buy.

Further to MKH Berhad's ("MKH") announcement made on 10 June 2016 pertaining to the Proposed Acquisition, the Board of Directors of MKH wishes to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, MKH Plantation Sdn Bhd ("MPSB") has received the Investment Coordinating Board of Indonesia (Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal) approval for the transfer of the Sale Shares from the Vendor to MPSB on 2 December 2016. MPSB has on 9 December 2016 completed the Acqusition. Accordingly, PT Sawit Prima Sakti ("PT SPS") is now a subsidiary company of MKH.
PT SPS owns approximately 2,445.49 hectares of oil palm plantation land at Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia.

Agree that 7 sen is a bit of disappointment. But that practice is going along with companies that normally see growth story and undertake expansion plans. One may not be convinced during this sluggish market, but wouldn't it be good if one has 'bullets' to capitalise.
The value of the land held for development is almost doubled up to over RM1 billion.
MKH discloses its plantation statistics in this quarterly report a good practice!
