Very clever company. The entire movement of Dividend, Bonus, ESOS and Warrants..... are given timing which will ensure that certain parties make a lot of money. Be careful of the big drop after warrants.

The oil price of USD45-55 per barrel is the 'new normal' price for crude oil. Won't go back to USD100 per barrel. https://www.pwc.com/m1/en/issues/how-to-survive-in-the-era-of-low-oil-prices.html
20 years ago when China was the awakening giant, it has increased all prices of commodities by accelerating its economy as the manufacturing hub of the world. Because of China, crude oil price moved from USD35 to USD100 per barrel before collapsing. Now activities have slowed, labour in China has become costly, products from China not very cheap anymore, and there is over-supply of oil rigs out there.
If oil price USD45-55 per barrel is now considered normal, so should the current share price of upstream O&G players?

So the price will reduce to what price tomorrow?

Yes right. If company is not good, then internal stakeholders will not exercise ESOS. True that this is a show of confidence. Bravo!

When Kraken shaved off $100mil from its Capex, it is actually bad news. Capex is spent for either projects or critical maintenance expense. Cutting Capex means they put some projects on hold, and lower major maintenance like major repair or safety buffer. Generally, Capex reduction is bad, doesn't sound good. Opex reduction is more positive.

Rise in share price really strange in last one week. Macro economy remains very poor. Share movement believed to be pure speculation. Should retreat back to 1.40 range.

The pattern has all changed. Last time Johan losing money for many years but now they are very profitable and Gkent used to be rm1+ but hit rm4+ before split (the rise only took 2 years). The pattern for Johan will be like Gkent. Fengsui is on Tan Sri Tan's side now. :-)

I guess Esos and bonus issue are activities which tells that internally they are very confident the share price will readjust to show greater value.

Hmmm. Cannot tahan this anymore. If it hits 1.45 I need to dump all 2million shares. What an of opportunity cost for me these two years.

Let Dato Lee do his magic. He has never done so heavy shares buyback of Matrix before. He is confident. I like it. Let's support him.

The smartest investor will always be the one who owns the company. So you see Dato Lee Tian Hock keeps buying his own stocks this and last week? Ask yourself why. :-)

The drop is just rigging lah. You see so few players at the counter. Due to shares not liquid, easy to drop the price or increase it. Mainly insiders playing lah... trying to maximize benefit. If you have bought the shares, hang on to them!

How can Korean experts (known to be very smart engineers) not know that the water disruption will impact profit? So funny and laughable. I would say something else is going on in deep waters. Something they haven't yet told us? Wait for Bursa investigation results.

Yup. Most likely a township and with hotel. Sepang is a forbidden area for new township, the rich folks there are waiting for nearby new development to pump money into. Matrix is developing the southwest corridor, and is a major player there now. Jimah is good location and access roads will be built in the next ten years. Likely to have an upscale retirement home there too, given the serene surrounding with scenery.

TP 3.15 before bonus ex date. Thinking to keep all shares, as Matrix is one of the approved Economical housing developers. Next decade will see the rise of affordable housing players. That is on top of moving steadily into Medical and Education field.

Hi KKLing,... I have no mid-term, I have long-term (by mid 2018) Johan will be RM1.50 at least. As SmartyAlek has said, Johan is trading at low valuation due to low interest from public. Wait till Johan gets into either Real estate property or Oil & Gas, then you will see the interest. Anyway, Johan's current businesses have turned profitable and will remain so for three years (some lock-in deals).
2017-07-25 18:56 | Report Abuse
The sudden price jump in July (without apparent public news) is indicative of insider movements that there is an effort to bid on a big project. History tells you, the owner of Johan does not bid for something and don't get it (in the last two years). This is good long term counter.

MRCB and Johan, best of buddies now. Bandar Malaysia, Kwasa Sentral, .... all are high potential for wins for Johan. Make no mistake that Johan's tiles manufactured will feed into all these projects. Also the stations for LRT3. Johan will be RM2+ by Q2 2018.

I am looking at 46-48 cents this two weeks. On a separate note, Air Asia has some of the best pilots around. Even the landing skills in all the AA & AAX flights I sat in this year are better than those by MAS pilots.

FMU5 has always been embroiled in controversies in the early days. Rumpun Capaian Sdn Bhd (probably a RM2 company) was set up in Dec 2015 to hold a 100-year contract to FMU5. Due to a lot of scrutiny, Rumpun was then sold to Priceworth through a RM260mil deal. So Priceworth owns the 100-year contract in FMU5 now and hires another of Priceworth subsidiary Sinora Sdn Bhd to be the main contractor. So it is the right hand giving to left hand, and in between they reduce corporate tax and GST (illegal?). Finally they set up Singapore entity GSR Pte Ltd to later acquire Sinora and go listing on SGX. Exit plan to later sell the listed GSR to a foreign entity and wash the trail? This entire set-up is worthy of MACC and IRA looking into it. Please trade with caution.

Don read so much into EPF movement. Nowadays, EPF investment is not looking long-term only but also contra a lot. EPF is setting bad example. They move in quickly on counters with dividend announcement, and move out juz before ex date and juz after ex date.

Yes Johan might move in together with MRCB on TRX. All those with knowledge about GKent, knows that Gkent is best of friends with MRCB. Same partnership can go everywhere. Johan likely to move into Property Development with MRCB. That's why they revalued land price early this year so the maiden property development job can start on Johan's own land. And then TRX project. And then very likely Kwasa Sentral (will be built like KL Sentral).

Yes today very quiet. And the small transaction drops the price by 5cents. Pure manipulation. Most are holding on to shares, knowing well it is going to rise. Managed to buy another 40k shares. :-)

Yes true. Downgrade to 'fully valued' or 'neutral' is fine. AllianceDBS and Public Invest have set a TP of 0.53 and since AAX has reached this share price, the change of BUY call to NEUTRAL is normal. The market has over-reacted. Note that Q-on-Q revenue has risen 21.6% and that's remarkable for AAX. One must always capture market share first and then optimize operations to get better net profit. Trust in AAX for the long-term.

Next announcement : QoQ will be negative but YoY increase very small. Big problem is the SMS segment which is going down. A lot of clients are registering with free platforms like Whatsapp and Wechat instead of paying heavy SMS price package. M3Tech's offer on SMS services are being renegotiated again and again by clients, as they find much cheaper avenues to send messages to customers and potential customers.
