It's about time LHI. Still waiting for 0.70 as per the data from DEX's calculation.

Malaysian palm oil futures dropped on Thursday, as investors booked profits after five straight sessions of gains, while lower overseas demand also weighed on the market.
The benchmark palm oil contract for March delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange lost RM38, or 1.01%, to RM3,740 by the midday break.
- Higher yields for QL! A marginally higher production can offset the risk of lower CPO prices hihi! But if labour costs and energy costs continues, it may be a standstill to nowhere😣
2023-12-21 15:26 | Report Abuse
The economic progressive wage being implemented slowly by phase will help contribute to higher earnings for QL as well. Looking at the second TP with sheer optimism 😄

@WongGK92 That'll be ideal and a perfect win-win for Kenanga and investors. Yay!

Sold another 20% to bank in for Christmas and New Year celebration. Leaving 50% to ride till 2nd target. Thank you QL 😄

@WongGK92 Hopefully. May see price easing between 5.50 to 5.7 before transition to 2nd target begins😀

My assumption is that it won't be long to see QL above 6.0. Ka-ching for the ang pau before CNY arrives🤤

In a sector update on Wednesday, Hong Leong Investment Bank (HLIB) maintained its crude palm oil (CPO) price assumptions for 2023 at RM3,850 per MT, and RM4,000 per MT for 2024.
The research house expects stockpiles to remain flattish in December 2023, as seasonally low production will be offset by weak near-term demand sentiment arising from weak demand sentiment in China and price competition from other competing oils.

Industry experts forecast Malaysia’s crude palm oil to trade between RM4,000 and RM4,200 per tonne next year, down from RM4,900 per tonne recorded in 2022, impacted by weather developments, geopolitical risks, government policies and slower global economic growth.

Hoping for 2nd target for a thick angpau.
@WongGK92 You're welcome

All operations showed improvement. Marine products were driven by
good fishing in the new season with fishmeal seeing higher volume and
prices on account of supply constraints from Peru. Poultry business was
bolstered by: (i) sustained exports and better egg prices, and (ii) better
performance from its broiler division with a turnaround in Indonesia. Its
upstream palm oil division reported better output and yields, partially
offset by lower CPO prices. Its CVS operation was buoyed by an
addition of 73 new stores and 41 mini stores, but earnings were hit by
higher labour and energy costs.

Wong, you may have to wait for palm oil to reflect a higher share price in QL. Poultry and eggs, may not be sufficient to drive the re-rating

Interestingly enough, I was hesitating initially. Seeing how the sentiment has shifted, I am out.

@Albukhary I cannot help but agree wholeheartedly to your statement. Though I am not a fanatic supporter of Nutriplus eggs, I am wary of its presence in the marketplace. This is why I asked why was there a rumor about QL buying LAYHONG in the first place. I guess it was unsubstantiated rumors then

Plus point, 27.8 of net profits bagged last year. 2nd highest than its historic records followed by an outstanding display of higher revenue. I just don't think the current valuation justifies the portfolio's growth at the moment

@pang72 Agree but more can be said when the business became a boon in the month leading to Chinese new year festives. I think a re-rating is due

People have forgotten that the government did plan on taxing the wealthy in the stock market in 2024. When the time comes, it'll be worst than OPR hikes. Funny how some people are living a carefree attitude now. Wait till your pocket gets emptied and you cry mummy daddy to the government.

Too cheap to be sold dearly.
Never waver your eyes on something that is brewing above its prior valuation.
Move aggressively and catch it swiftly.

The comment section surely disappoints but not the stock play itself.
My last advice here to everyone involved would be;
In a crisis, be aware of the danger but also recognize the opportunity. Sometimes it may not cut it to buy but with close scrutiny to a circumstance, there lies great opportunity to be sow and reap in the near-term.
Best of luck to all the investors and I am sending good vibes to take
with you till the valuation of this stock matures.
Date of Maturity: 0.70 - 1.00.

stbc1978, I would have factor MYR1.30 for IRIS, but I am holding it more towards the short-mid valuation side of things at hand. Hence, 0.60 cts seems reasonable for me, for now. I do respect your opinion, and I hope you do the same. Happy investing ^^

CUTLOST, I've this valued at 0.60, interesting how our ideas converged. Its prospect is decent and the headlines of its growth is bewildering. Let's monitor the future valuation of this stock after it hit the 50 - 60 cts range.

Interesting closure for today, it seems to me that this stock has consolidated a hefty sum of bullish pressure to engage in an exponential spike in the upcoming weeks. I am happy to see the growth of it being positive to everyone involved and to the naysayers, thank you for your constructive criticism because I am not playing in the fields of your speculative nature. I am investor, not a gambler.

Agreed, lau9639. I was monitoring the orders in conjunction with the volatility and was surprised how well the sellers are being absorbed by the buyers. It exudes a strength of bullishness that will soon spearhead unprecedented spike

Don't quote me for any targets that I didn't mentioned. My objective is based upon the underlying valuation of a stock from historical modeling through assessment of intrinsic value. Likewise, quote - unquote, I've reinstated and will only standby the objective valuation of 0.70 to 1.00 for this stock. Anything above 1.00 is over-priced and over-valued.
2020-07-03 09:44 | Report Abuse
To other investors, if you have done your own research, know what you've invested and don't waver for anything other than the expected valuation of your objective. Some people are insidious for conjuring unnecessary pump and dump fear to benefit from themselves in the short term. I hope that the ones whom gain from other expenses will be served by their own karma. It's never a good thing seeing other people losing money for your own benefit.

Don't judge a book by its cover, let this stock flourish on its own unique price range. Induce panic selling because of correction is due to fear and nothing else *wink*

Mild maybe, major correction impossible on this scale. Usually when correction happens, it's when the hands get sweaty, if you know what I meant. Still, I persist and insist the valuation of 0.70 - 1.00 :)

Virtual identity remains private for a reason. But I can honestly speak from experience that you are in good hands, this stock is extremely undervalued. The valuation I had proposed as seen from many posts prior were dealt with care as a retail professional and not from a broker/bankers perspectives. 0.70 - 1.00 is the fair value of this stock play, if you don't believe me... it's fine. You can see from the overwhelming momentum until correction hits in the coming weeks.

@Unfair Nope. I believe it will bask in its glory after a few rounds of sell-off. Requiring a bit of patience to ride through tumultuous times. Plus, not a PN17 or GN company either if you have your fundamentals with you
