The deadline given by the vietnam government is 1st Dec 2020. Based on the construction progress, my prediction is quite likely. The earlier 2 power plants in Vietnam were completed about 6 months ahead of deadline.

Why are people buying Jaks now ?

It is because its power plant is operating soon.

How big is the power plant ?

Big enough to supply electricity to half of Selangor

It is the final count down !

Those who have bought Jaks at 1.10 during July 2018 when Mr Koon first reported Margin call sell down are now even ! Total cost 1.10 x 2 + 0.25 (warrant) = 2.45. Total value now 0.915 x 2 + 0.615 = 2.445. Recovered after 15 months !

At this point, to buy 49% interest in the property JV would require an EGM. Can't do it quietly.

I m thankful to Sslee for his contributions to Jaks' forum. However, it is unfortunate that I wasn't able to convince him to park some money in Jaks.

Yes, Note 26 actually disclosed the finance costs capitalised

Allow me to clarify, capitalized interest payments will not show up in the cash flow statement. They are added to property development assets.

However, it is not difficult to calculated the interest payment capitalized. Calculate the approximate interest expense using the outstanding loan balance and minus the interest expense shown in the cash flow statement.

'Investors cannot see the amount of payment for interest charges for bank loan for the construction of the Star Media land because according to accounting rules, payment of interest can be capitalized.'

Jaks is too wild today. With such huge volume...No eye see next week.

I was told China firm was interested to buy a block of Jaks shares a year ago, my VIP client expected the share price of Jaks will skyrocket up into the sky. However, it did not happen at the time.

The present up surge may imply someone is interested to buy a block of Jaks shares. I do not know, I just speculate only. The volume is very high now to make me to recall the event.

This information is what I heard a year ago.

It doesn't take one year for test run

According to Vinh Tan 1, until May 2019, the power plant has been running at full load since operation.

My reason for jaks lies in its power plant. The property saga will eventually be over. The property is substantially completed. How bad can it be ?

Travestor For a stock like JAKS it's really no use to look at charts because it is easily opened for manipulation. Hold for longer term is ok.

To dated EPC2 contract recognized RM 1,208.2.
So balance EPC2 contract about RM 650M

Dear Sslee,

That publicinvest report was written in Jan 2017, a long time ago before the EPC even started.

The company has reported 25% average profit margin on its US$454m EPC works so far. Therefore, the expected profit of US$113m is sufficient to cover the capital commitment.

You have chosen to believe in a report by publicinvest written long time ago but refused to believe in the latest evidence presented to you.

The profit from the EPC2 contracts is sufficient to cover the capital commitment of US$110m for the 30% equity.

Since ALP's partner director is reducing his stake in Jaks, there won't be any right issue anytime soon. His partner director will not agree to take up his entitlement. A right issue cannot proceed if executive directors not taking up their entitlements.

There is very little coverage by the Investment Bankers on Jaks. I m sure more investors will buy Jaks if they are made aware that the power plant is operating soon.

Jaks power plant is definitely very significant to Jaks by any measure. The problem is that not many actually aware that Jaks has this huge "hidden" assets.
