I don't quite understand why Mieco's chart is so weak.
High volume breakout few days ago.

Wow, Tguan really moves like rocket these few days.
Too bad I didn't brought too much last time due to tight capital.
Still happy holding it though. :)

This article is so stupid, it's a total insult to intelligence.
-Whoever who brought or sell a stock based on the stupid puns created, is the stupidest fool ever. What were you thinking, is this buying stocks in Pasar Malam?
-Just because a stock went up, you call it overvalued? Do you even fundamental analysis dude? Even though you've been preaching about all the investment theories everyday?
-This kind of analysis, you call it an analysis? This is more like guesswork and speculation. Please read Icon8888 or Kcchongnz article and learn how they write.
I don't often read your articles, but when I do, you give me this? C'mon Calvin, you can writing something more intelligent than this. I expected good writing from you, not nonsense like these.

@money - go learn from KC, he's one of the best fundamental investor around.
He spotted Hevea back in 25 cents if I recalled correctly. Liihen and Homeriz much much earlier.

Thank you KC, for answering my question.
I guess like they say, "Investing is more of an art, than science", hence very subjective the methods of fundamental analysis.

KC, I usually use 5 years data when doing Fundamental Analysis.
Do you advise to use 10 years data instead of 5 years?
Because I kinda think 10 years is quite far fetched because the macro and micro economy has changed drastically.

I totally disagree.
1. Warren Bufett once said: "If The Business Does Well, The Stock Eventually Follows."
Fund managers are just normal person like you and me. When a business is doing so well, it's just a matter of time where they will be attracted to invest in it, like any other individual investor. You'll be late to the party if you wait for them.
2. Warren Bufett: “You should invest in a business that even a fool can run, because someday a fool will.” In my translation, it's "You should invest in a business that even a fool can invest, because someday even a fool will."
This is why sometimes I ignore the technical chart, share price & market movement. To me, FA is utmost important aspect to consider.

Yi brother, have you sold your Inari yet? I heard that recently the result isn't so nice.
This is why I caution back then that buying rich valuation high growth stock is very dangerous.

Woah... even my most respected teacher, KC finally wrote an article about Hevea.
I'm really glad. Thank you KC teacher.
This certainly boost my confidence that it's a right decision to invest and keep holding Hevea all along.
To be honest with you KC, I was getting a little worried and impatient if I made the right decision by keep holding and not selling. Even though I sticked purely to Fundamental Investing (because TA wise, Hevea's chart is not looking nice), as the price dropped a lot recently and remained flat for a long time.
Your article certainly reaffirmed my decision. Thank you.

No offense lah, just being critical only. I've been holding Hevea also.
If you want you can stand by your calculations, while I will stand by mine too.

Your figure will most likely get wrong because you're using 2015 AR as benchmark.
They have paid all USD denominated loans in as of March 2016 by settling one (1) year ahead of the original repayment schedule. By doing so, it will affect the interest expense.

如果笔者的【估算+预测】是正确的,那么HEVEA也够可怜的。不过美金起获跌都亏钱,但是还好亏不多。共勉之。

The profit before taxation ("PBT") of the Group for the reporting quarter was RM 23.61 million, an increase of RM 9.01 million or 61.73 % as compared with the corresponding quarter in FY2015.
PBT improved due mainly to better performance in both the particleboard and RTA sectors as well and the reasons for the increase as stated in the Segmental Reporting A8.
A job well done again. Excellent.
Despite a lot of people keep criticizing this stock, the fundamental speaks for itself.
Hevea has also clearly demonstrated that even though there are depreciation in USD, Hevea is able to perform.

For the first quarter of 2016, Group revenue of RM61.4 million decreased 28% against RM85.5 million a year ago mainly due to lower production output at the Lipis Plant due to a fire that damaged certain machinery. An insurance claim has been submitted for these losses.

And also, I would suggest it's better to add CFFO / FCF in the article if you really want to do a comparison. This eliminates forex gain / loss and can give a clearer picture.
Regardless, well done. Keep up with the good work.

No offense Ricky, just to add: Numbers do not necessary paint everything. One has to look at both quantitative and qualitative analysis. For example, some companies have not been doing well in some years due to macro changes, not the business itself:
"We took a long term major USD loan to finance the expansion, but were unfortunately hit with the 2008/2009 financial crisis soon after that and were forced to restructure our loan facilities. We were saddled with high
financial costs and repayment obligations and had to operate
under an extremely tight cash flow regime."
I always liked Icon's articles because he focuses precisely on both.

Growth > Dividend in growth phase.
Once growth has stable or slowed down, it does not require so much of reinvestment (eg. Nestle, etc) then those cash can be used to distribute good dividend.
This is how a business should be.

@Jupiter - If you dunno already, MD is very prudent on capex expansion, so as to not repeat the steps in 2008.
20mil capex expansion does not sound much, but it will improve roughly around 15% of revenue. It is just the beginning only.

Demand exceed supply, same like Heveaboard. Sounds like Mieco is doing really well.

According to the report, Hevea has fully repaid all USD loans. Finally.
Next, they will also allocate 20mil for capex expansion.
With the debt off the shoulder, Hevea's real growth is starting soon.

The result is not unexpected.
Looking back at the key ratio over the years, they have been rather poor.
Thin NP Margin, Low ROE, Poor and inconsistent FCF, Low EY, etc.
They may have been doing better in 2015, but one year of improvement is not sufficient enough to proof anything yet.
