Some Opposition MPs will back the budget. The wiser ones in PKR & DAP may vote the budget in. Especially after Health DG has pleaded MPs to support it. The backlash will be bad for politicians if the budget doesn’t pass; the know that

Katherine Ross told us that from her reporting, investors should not overlook the government’s role in funding the search for a vaccine and whether or not, PPE companies are still worth a look.
"We're talking about the vaccines right now. Obviously, there's a lot of focus on that as people were really hoping to return to life before COVID or back to normal as some people say. But the reality is really, that even with the vaccine, PPE will be around won't go away anytime soon,” Ross said

“In desperation, the government spent £12.5 billion (US$16.6 billion) between February and July on protective equipment, £10 billion more than the same items would have cost last year, the NAO said”

Please study the criteria. Apart from market cap, the other criteria is profitability. An indication ot that is what Finance Minister has said in terms of tax that will be paid by gloves companies alone for FY2021.
Wont be harmful to do some homework. Cheers

The fact that Supermax will be likely announced as a component stock on 3/12/2020 will be digested by local funds. Once there is official announcement, foreign funds will buy index companies indiscriminately; pushing prices higher. As smart retailers, should we buy before that? Absolutely yes.
Once index buying kicks in, retailers will chase higher. Be a contrarian to make money my friends.

The US market rallied yesterday primarily because it expects Janet Yellen to be the next Treasury secretary. She is a stimulus pro. A stimulus from US Fed will propel equity. You can see many analysts are pro equities for 2021 and expecting a super bull scenario. Safe haven like Gold is now being sold down. US dollar is also sold down. Funds will have more appetite to invest extra liquidity in Emerging Markets. Previously they were afraid because Trump was unpredictable. His tweets could some out of nowhere. With Biden, he is expected to be more reconciliatory and that is good for Asia market. Rising tide will carry everyone.
Our liquidity in Bursa will be a lot higher once appetitte for equities is higher. Funds will chase companies in KLCI and with prospects of profit for the few coming quarters. Just look at Supermax’s forward PE.
Evidence to that is Zoom remains stable. And PPE stock like Honeywell and 3M also climbed. Once market goes up with more liquidity and optimism, everyone benefits. Stay at home, vaccine beneficiaries, healthcare etc..

With several Covid-19 vaccine candidates showing promising trial outcomes, investors and analysts have turned increasingly optimistic that the pandemic could soon come to an end.
But an analysis by Citi Research showed that “herd immunity” may not start to form until late-2021. Herd immunity occurs when enough people in a population develop protection against a disease, and it can no longer spread easily within the community.

Just buy and hold. The business owners are supporting it. TS Lim Topglove is buying back shares in record volume. Im also sure Dato Stanley is busy promoting Supermax to foreign funds. That is why KLCI inclusion is a great news. Index Linked Funds can invest in Supermax.

Actually if we look at it, the moment Media started toying the idea that Topglove is on the verge of overthrow MBB as the no 1 company is KLSE, the trouble started. The selldown was initiated by the local institutions according to CGS CIMB using the vaccine news very well knowing that they will push Topglove much lower. Co-incidence or banks flexing their muscles?

When i go makan, i see growing trend of waiters using gloves. After lunch i went to barber, he was also using gloves. Then, i did some groceries. The cashier was also using gloves. Reopening will require more gloves. Gloves makes people safe and feel safe. That is important for the economy to recover. Gloves are not only for medical personnel but it is part and parcel of our daily lives now. Even with vaccines, the trend will persists for some time

With this kind of side effects, doubts lingers if people will adopt a wait and see attitude rather than rushing in for a vaccine. Americans couldn’t not even care to adopt any advise given by the government. Do you think they will want to suffer with the side effects?

All shareholders here should understand why we buy Supermax shares? If you cant explain to a 5 year old why you own it then dont hold tht stock. In my case i find it super easy to explain to my kids. They understand. We dont have a crystal ball to predict when the pandemic will end. The fact that remains is the company that we own produces one of the most sought after product in battling this pandemic.
When to sell?
When people stop wearing masks, you dont need temperature taken before going into malls. When temperature reader is taken off at the airport.
Dont time the market. Research has shown day traders lose money. I am one of the investors who held Supermax from 1.70 levels. Im sitting on a handsome gain. But if i try to time the market, I would have sold too early and enter again at the peak. Cheers! Have a good week ahead comrades.

KLCI inclusion is actually a big deal for a stock like Supermax. It will enable index funds to buy into it. Remember days before the MSCI inclusion, there was a fund queued to buy and pushed the price RM2.00 up in final 10 minutes of trading. Malaysia as a leading rubber glove manufacturer is also growing traction within US fund managers. With ‘dark winter’’ coming, fund managers will have to be prudent and hedge their portfolio. Healthcare stocks is a must with or without vaccines.

Epf’s entry into Supermax can be boon or bane. Shares become illiquid if EPF comes in. Hence, volatility will be reduced. EPF once was Supermax’s shareholder but exited. I believe it was because of the court case. But now since case is cleared and KLCI inclusion, EPF will have no choice but to buy Supermax
