If I am right, the current share buyback of up of 10% of the Issued Shares of the company is only valid till the next AGM on 9 July 2018. In its recent announcement yesterday, the company proposes another "Renewal of Share Buy-Back Authority of up to 10% of the Issued Shares".
The company may purchase max 20% (112 million) of the shares outstanding, and hold it as treasury shares, hence reducing the shares outstanding from 563 million to 451 million shares. This will increase the EPS of the company.
From the latest published balance sheet report, George Kent has over rm510 million cash. Assuming the company purchase all shares an average price of rm2.50, total amount spent would amount to rm280 million cash (rm2.50 x 112 million shares).
Hence the balance cash would amount to rm230 million (rm510 million - rm280 million). George Kent has ample of cash to do share buyback. I have not even include the incoming cash the company would generate this year.
Just sharing information here. Peace. :)

We are heading towards developed country status. What do u think our infrastructure is going to be? Backward or forward?
There are many infrastructure to be developed aggressively in the next few years. It's a great time to pick beaten down construction counters.
Construction sector might be underweight in FY2018, what about FY2019 to 2022? Food for thought.

With past experience in Ampang lrt extension, hospital, water infrastructure projects, coupled with current experience in MRT 2 & LRT 3, Gkent has some experience to bid for future projects.
In addition, with rm510 million cash, what is stopping Gkent to hire technical expertise around the world to put together a good experienced team. See how it goes. Right or not, the future will tell, and that's what makes life exciting isnt it. If we are wrong, just cut loss and move on. If we are right, then make some profits and move on.

Gkent has over rm500m cash, let us wait for its 1QFY19 report in June. Unless the new government made changes to the existing contracts of LRT3, MRT2 and hospitals, Gkent rm5b order book remains intact, with clear earnings visibility till 2022.
In these 4 years, will Malaysia build more rail especially for states in Penang, Sabah & Sarawak? We will see. Btw, Gamuda rebounded with big order book for LRT & MRT.
Chill la, we are here to share info and not start any personal attack.

And if its local, guess who would get it... construction sector will boom in the near future, Tun M is famous for that.

As of Q3FY17, Thong Guan records a rm200mil revenue, with the 2nd Nano-line operating, the company's revenue can hit rm300mil revenue per quarter.
With the 3rd Nano-line coming in end 2018 (hopefully), Tguan may achieve rm400mil revenue a quarter in 2019 / 2020.
Profits should increase over time, but need to be very patient.
