But I am pretty sure that will happen to Kanger once the price hold is removed following the completion of the PP.

I would think has to be soon if Sinopharm is to announce approval of their vaccine. Don't think Kanger can continue to hold down the price when that happens.

And I am sure the glove players will move over to vaccine counters now. So once the selling off is done there vaccine counters will rise quicker with the added funds.

Jonathan Keung You got it right that the FDA approval given to EBI (HWGB's partner) for Stage IV trials is indeed something very exciting with huge potential. What most don't understand is that HWGB-EBI's vaccine approach is via a repurposed vaccine approach.

What this means is that this is an existing available vaccine (for polio) that is already in the market and safe to use. Now they need to prove on a bigger scale (hence the stage IV trials) that this vaccine can successfully stimulate antibody build up for Covid. So once they have enough data the launch of the vaccine will be very much easier as from a safety perspective it is already a readily available vaccine that is safe to use.

That way I see it, there is not going to be just a single vaccine brand or approach sold in the market in the near future. It will definitely start off with multiple brands (which the world needs as well) and will then slowly consolidate over the years.

That's my take. Makes sense?

Whether is it a repurpose vaccine (e.g HWGB-EBI), a viral vector approach vaccine (e.g Cansino, J&J, Russia's Sputnik V), a genetic approach vaccine or an inactivated coronavirus vaccine (e.g Sinopharm... If a vaccine works then it works. People will use it and that is probably what we need cause no single company can produce and supply enough amount of vaccine for the entire world. So we will likely have many different brands being sold in the open market in future.

Phase IV is known as the Post-marketing Surveillance trial and is meant to continue the safety surveillance and ongoing technical support of a drug after it receives permission from the FDA to be sold. The safety surveillance is designed to detect any rare or long-term adverse effects over a much larger patient population and longer time period than was possible during the Phase I-III clinical trials.

Technically speaking once in Phase IV a vaccine can now be sold if I'm not wrong.
