I think it has a lot more to do with dividing us than a deadly virus. I think it’s likely not as deadly as we thought, but the damage to our union has been done. And that was their ultimate goal.

LV! The implied volatility (“IV”) for a warrant reflects the comparative price versus other similar warrants. You can compare the IV of a warrant against similar warrants over the same underlying only. If the warrant in question has a much higher IV than others, it may be that this warrant is relatively overpriced.
Sometimes the IV of a warrant can change and effect the warrant price. This is usually due to the supply/demand for the warrant, or because there is a change in the volatility of the underlying share or index. An increase in IV will cause an increase in the warrant price, where a fall will cause the warrant price to decrease.

I am 菜鸟, morning LV! The exercise ratio is the number of warrants needed to exchange for one underlying share or index futures at expiry. The sole purpose of the exercise ratio is to break down the warrant into smaller units, so a warrant which is priced at RM1.00 would then be worth RM0.50 with an exercise ratio of 2.
The sensitivity of a warrant price to the changes in the underlying price can be estimated by “delta per warrant”.
A warrant with smaller exercise ratio is more expensive, but will have higher delta per warrant. While a warrant with higher exercise ratio is cheaper but will have lower delta per warrant. If all else is equal, both warrants would give you the same return in percentage terms. Therefore, the exercise ratio should not be a major differentiating factor in the process of choosing a warrant.

“Foreign customers can only enter if you have a valid permit and accompanied by a Malaysian.
“All UNHCR card holders are denied entry,” said the notice.
No reason was given for the ban on the refugees.
A report by online portal Malaysiakini said that a DBKL staff had confirmed that the notice was issued by its licensing department.
Recently, authorities had raided the market as well as its vicinity which led to the arrests of hundreds of undocumented migrants, including Rohingya refugees. Foreigners made up around 90 per cent of the market workers.
The market located in Selayang was also temporarily closed for four days in April to disinfect the premises and screen the workers after it was identified as a Covid-19 cluster where 28 people were infected and a 36-year-old Myanmar man had died.
On June 18, Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said that there are still undocumented migrants trading in the vicinity of the market, but there are none within the premises itself.

DBKL bans refugees, unaccompanied foreigners from Selayang wholesale market
The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has banned refugees, even those recognised by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), from entering the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market in Selayang.
The notice, which was issued on Friday, June 19 by Mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, also said that foreigners are only allowed into the market if they have a valid permit and are accompanied by a Malaysian.
“Any individuals entering the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market will be screened and must register before they are allowed entry.
“All licensees and workers at the market (including IIUM, Wholesale Consortium, High Kuan and FCCT) can only enter if you are carrying a licensed/worker’s pass.

It's so sad that DrM still want to helm this loose coalition. It's him that resigned without consulting the other teammates and fed us to the hungry PN parasites. He didn't expect to be played out.
I cannot understand why DAP or Amanah still want to support this egoistic and evil man? Warisan is all bullshi.t and most of their leaders are corrupted and self serving.
Even though I don't fancy AI but I feel that he is the only experienced ethical leader to pull us through this difficult times.
What if AI compromise and agreed to be DPM and after 6 months, things turn sour again? How will DAP and Amanah face the voters? It's a strategy that DrM plans to kill all the political parties he once hated and still do.
Sad but it's something we as outsiders can see and pray for a better Malaysia.

What possessed him to remain silent and go out of his way to avoid testifying during an ongoing impeachment inquiry? What kind of person does that?

This much is certain. There is corruption running amok in the Council. And there are corrupt politicians working hand in glove with the wet market mafia.
What is also clear is that no amount of occasional editorializing will effect the change we desire. While Nadeswaran has done right by allowing us a peek into the goings on, what is needed here is a full expose' - with the names and photographs of the politicians involved together with those in MBPJ who make the big decisions on who gets what and for how much.
What is also required is direct action by citizens and residents' associations who can provide visual and statistical data on the number of foreigners running these stalls, video evidence on the filth that does not bother MBPJ or the politicians and even information on the taikos who control the operations.
I understand that corruption in this country is now right across the board including the custodians of law and order, regulators and even those accountable for preventive measures. As such, complaints may not go anywhere. What just might work is a relentless campaign of name and shame - a campaign that will train a spotlight on the rodents and vermin in MBPJ and related agencies. A light so bright they will have no place to hide.
Sunlight is a great sanitizer.

Doesn't really matter in the long run. Both pretty much acted in the same manner both ignored warnings, acted too late and blames each other when both are equally culpable for their own incompetence. But this goes beyond the pandemic and only just highlighted the growing tensions. Trump is unlikely to be re-elected and when he is gone the issues and tension will remain.

Larrie Chew, China has repeatedly demonstrated throughout history in a majority of the dynasties that her intentions were largely peaceful and non dominating
That is why at the height of all the dynasties during the golden periods, China ships were trading ships and not organised large offensive military convoys. It is based on mutual interest and a win-win mentality. The instinctive response to conflict is to negotiate and create a harmonious solution where both can coexist happily
The Great Wall of China was built to keep the barbarians out, which allowed them to pursue civilization and establish education as a leadership criteria since BCE
Trump’s and his generals I-can-only-win-if-you-lose mentality is inherited from the war pains of European historical roots centuries upon centuries of fighting till extermination, the sin-penance dynamic, the colonial moralising, dialectic, I-can-do-no-wrong preaching approach is etched into the psyche. The instinctive response to conflict is combative ( that is why the terms used by commentators like WalterP below are physical, like trap, kill, king etc ) .
Look at where this inherited high horse colonial combative thinking has gotten Africa over the centuries
There is a difference in cultural thinking and approach

American polls had consistently showed most Americans are angry with China especially in relation to the pandemic and it seems TRUMP and co. are devising a strategy to boost his own election chances using an aggressive strategy. TRUMP blames China for covering up and starting the virus and uses both Taiwan and HK as chips to provoke BJ. As usual, BJ falls for it in its usual combative style and this makes TRUMP's job easier and likely he could be re-elected if Americans still view China as they do now. TRUMP sets a trap for China and China willingly falls for it. China should ponder over this and hopefully adopt a different approach.

Totally agree.
Maybe theone who post this are living in Kelantan or Terengganu where there are no “refugees” since there there is no economic livelihood in those areas. Hence no refugee “crime” as well
His reference to Turkey shows his lack of depth on understanding on the global refugee/migration issues. The 3.7 million refugees in Turkey have no interest living in Turkey as they are all headed for Germany/EU. Why do you think EU doesn’t want Turkey to be part of the bloc? That’s because Turkey is a STAGING point (like Bangladesh For Rohingya) for refugees into EU. As an extension, why do you think that U.K. voted for Brexit to leave EU? That’s because the people there see that many of 3.7 million refugees in Turkey, once they obtain EU citizenship via Germany, will also head towards UK. The worldwide sentiment against asylum seekers, economic migrants and refugees isn’t just restricted to Malaysia.
Lastly, 180,000 refugees in Malaysia is no small total especially if you divide it over the 580,000 unemployed Malaysians. That’s 30%. Of course you could also argue that the unemployed Malaysians won’t do the 3D (dirty, dangerous and difficult) work. But that’s the beauty of statistics isn’t it? It could be manipulated any which way you want!

BABIKING, If the economy really tanks, the gvt will shake and people will starve. So here is a solution. Protect the vulnerable, leave the others free.
It is the old folks who are at risk. Let them be house bound. No going out. They are mostly retirees.
Let businesses get back to business with the young folk working.Sure there is risk. But life is about risks. The young can also die from jungle trekking, crossing the street, and in road accidents. But that risk is low.
How effective are sanitising, social distancing and living hunkered down? Does the virus jump from one person to another? If so how far? Nobody can justify the safety measures imposed.
