Market sentiment for Karim stocks are bad, however if after auditing they found no problem and kmpg and the new external auditor also approve, then the stock will fly as it clears all doubt about it. Since Karim is already at this stage, he might as well order an external audit of kpower and scib to clear all doubt once and for all, then all stocks will fly after that.... provided that everything is in order.

Look at the title of this page, it is Serba Dinamik, not Sabun Philip or whatever. Grow up and remove that pacifier. SKP bosses are good people, so far dont think they are in trouble. So this means there is a possibility dyson might divert their orders to SKP and VS. just like how hartalega and supermax benefited from TG CBP issue.

I bet you dont even know why palm oil price spiked on the last 2 trading days. let me school you - USD went down since palm oil is priced in RM.
Go compare palm oil price and USDvsRM in 2008 and 2014, then come back and tell me it is because of demand or weaker ringgit.
Are you predicting a weaker ringgit in the coming future?
This coming QR for most plantation will not be bad or good, probably average, why? It is rainy season, less fruits.
2021-05-08 20:05 | Report Abuse
SUMMARY FROM UNITED PLANTATION LATEST REPORT, THE BEST PLANTATION IN MALAYSIA:
WINDFALL TAX [ The higher palm oil price is, the more the gov tax ]:
In addition, windfall tax paid increased by 528.2% to RM9.2 million during the current quarter from RM1.5 million in the corresponding quarter.
OUTLOOK [ Not enough labor ]:
Covid-19 developments continue to influence market sentiments. Normal supply/demand factors are still relevant, however, the bulk of the news headlines are related to the pandemic and the progress made in terms of the global vaccination roll out.
A direct Covid-19 related factor impacting the Malaysian Palm Oil Industry continues to be the pronounced travel disruptions preventing the recruitment of guest workers (who make up around 85% of the total labour force in the Malaysian plantation sector today) from taking place. This disruption has resulted in very considerable labour shortages throughout the Plantation Industry today including United Plantations Bhd.
2021-05-08 16:03 | Report Abuse
Palm oil price has been going up since last year, my question is why most of the palm oil companies are not reporting crazy profits? Please explain. The reason is labor shortage and low yield, palm oil price up also no use, not enough people harvest, thus the shortage which causes the price to go up. If they can solve the labor problem, then price will drop as supply will go up.
So, how can palm oil companies make big profit? Lets take United Plantation as an example, the best run plantation company in Malaysia with the best yield per hectare.
https://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/stk/annqtyres/2089.jsp
Why are their profits not up since last year?
and what about SOP? Why are their profit not skyrocketing since 2020?
https://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/stk/annqtyres/5126.jsp
This is not 1 or 2 companies, it is the entire industry, thus goes to show palm oil price can rally but as long as there is labor shortage, profit will not fly.
Aluminum price went up, PMetel profit goes up and so does the share price. Palm oil companies got make crazy profit or not?
Also, palm oil is not the only cooking oil, got many alternative.

I am not saying palm oil won't rally, just saying your article is BS. You know why? Peter Lim made it by investing and a company doing nothing, just like Warren Buffet in Geico and Coca Cola.
You on the other hand jump here and there like a frog. Using Peter Lim as an example is wrong, you should use a billionaire trader that jump from one stock to another.
Will Palm Oil rally? who knows, with the Fed printing so much money, anything goes. The last palm oil rally lasted for 2 years. This time with so much money, it might last longer or the Fed might step in and raise rates as inflation gets out of control.
I am living in a village growing jagung. What about you?
2021-05-08 01:47 | Report Abuse
I come from a village and used to help out in the palm oil estate. I can tell from your article you have 0 knowledge and experience in anything related in palm oil apart from trading in it.
palm oil is a very matured industry. The reason why peter lim was able to compound his wealth is because palm oil was a growing industry. and do you know why prior to 1980 palm oil was not popular? because we have to manually pollinate it, but 1982 was the year they introduce this beetle that can pollinate the palm oil tree without manual labour, thus many converted their rubber estate to palm oil.
IOI, KLK, UTDPLT, SOP, INNO are all big palm oil companies and if you look at google earth, almost or majority of the flat land are covered in palm oil, planting more trees is not an option, extracting more yield from new trees is not as high as it was before, thus the only driver is FPSO price....
and the bottleneck we have now is what? labour shortage.
I bet you dont even know what you are tying, you just simply type and hope to goreng the stock, probably invested most of your money and waiting for all palm oil stock to fly. maybe it will, but one thing for sure, your article is pure BS.
let me repeat, there is nothing to time, it is a matured industry and wont double or triple the market cap anymore anytime soon.

Just like you, I dislike those sponsored articles in theedge. I dont have an answer to that and I dont know what is the purpose.
Also I dont know why Karim never revealed it is a RPT.
I dont own any Serba's share but I do monitor it. If indeed Karim can deliver as promised, then Serba has the potential to grow big.
At least I see a CEO that is actively growing the company, building connections and venturing into new business. Earning Growth is the key, which Karim understood very well. Nobody wants a CEO like YTL, they couldn't bother to take more risk to grow the company. risk and reward.
Who knows, maybe one day Serba will enter KLCI30.
Someone shared this in the Serba forum, you probably saw it too.

Yes, indeed MBB is bigger than PBB in term of market cap. Maybe I should have picked something like Harta is bigger than TG. But I see many new investor always compare the price of a stock and determines the value of a company. I even tried explaining to my friend so many times this is wrong, but they will still use the price as a benchmark. I give up eventually. They see this as Pasar Malam, compare company performance based on the price... some will say Nestle is the biggest company in Malaysia.

How is it bigger than Serba?
USD10 = RM40 and you think RM40 bigger than RM1.60?
Are you those type of retailers that think Maybank is bigger than PBB because MBB is RM8 and PBB is RM4?
USD$100,000,000 is RM400million. Serba is RM6B company.
How is Data Knight bigger? Mind sharing.

Karim sold his Serba warrant, not Serba mother share.
Even in here i3 got the info, he sold warrant, buy mother share. Click on the magnifier icon.
https://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/stk/annchdr/5279.jsp
He bought so much during march. From 18-Feb-2021 to 18-Mar-2021, karim bought 36,300,000 via Open Market. Let's say his average price is 1.60, thus RM58,080,000
and then 56,292,000 on 02 Feb via PP, forgot what was the PP price, RM1.50?
Karim spend about RM90,380,000 buying Serba's share.
Almost RM100 million, no CEO with insider knowledge knowing something bad is about to happen will spend RM100m to buy shares in the company. This is logic, right? I dont have evidence, maybe you are right, only time will tell. We'll know in a few quarters.
Now that most of the major projects are almost completed, such as Teluk Rumania, it will generate positive cash flow. But this doesn't mean investor will price it highly.
As for TG, Tan Sri Lim probably should not have said they will be the biggest company in Bursa, and he probably told many of his friends to invest and TG will hit RM30, which it almost did. It was ego that made him bought those shares.
Yes, analysts make visits to the company and the company will show them the best. EPF is not always right also. Time will tell.
But RM100 million by Karim is a vote of confidence.

I am not smart but if truly the company got hanky panky, why would Karim increase his holdings by 10%? If he sense the company got no future, dont you think the first thing he wont do is to buy more shares via open market and PP? Action speaks louder than words.
And also EPF increased their holding up to 17%? EPF sure did their homework and visited those sites, right? People have been saying this since the IPO on their projects in middle east, yet they still pay dividend, 30% of NP.
If Elon Musk never sold any of his tesla shares during those turbulence years or even cash out right after the IPO, what does it say? And what does it says when a founder like Tan Sri Lim kept on buying TG shares? Is shows they are confident in the company and knows it will make more money in the coming quarters or future, how the market price the shares is another story.

TopGlove is in survival mode, and if they cannot resolve this, what they will do it to throw price and flood the market with cheaper gloves. sell cheaper to 3rd party and let them smuggle it into US, this will eventually effect all glove companies. a drowning man will drag anything, including their loves one as they struggle. Gkent cant compete with TopGlove, price war is going to kill Gkent Johan glove venture. Haiz.
So many ventures to go but choose glove. go lah do water filter system, water tank system, or whatever also better. sell whole house water filter system also better.

Karim up his holdings as much as 10%. If he knew something was wrong with Block 7 and the project is cancel, do you think he will spend so much increasing his shares?
EPF up 17%, probably via PP and some buybacks.

If you subscribe to simplywallst, you can see karim holdings went to 29% from 23% after the PP and massive open market purchase. You can check Karim’s purchase in i3 too, he literally moved the price up to 1.8+ during his last purchase. He already reached his max, I dont think he intend to go beyond 30%, maybe to avoid legal requirements?
All I can say is if a founder is confident in his company, he will buy more and more. Those that goreng up via fancy presentation and then sold at its peak are opportunist, like D&O, talked so much on how bright the company is and now PE is 140? Insider selling like crazy but people still chase.
If Karim bought one or two millions, then i say he is acting, from buying up almost 5% is not pretending acting already. he probably forsee strong earnings in the coming years.
2021-05-04 12:13 | Report Abuse
Put it that way, Karim has been buying up Serba's share since 3 weeks ago, increasing his holdings from 23% to 29%. He will be the first person to know if the project is gone case or not, if it is gone case, why in the world will be load up so much of Serba's share?
In fact, I believe he knows the project is on its way and this will give Serba lots of revenue. TheEdge reported that Block 7 pilling work already started in April 2021, and it will accelerate in 2H21. This was why Karim was so confident in Serba and bought so much last month.
No CEO with internal knowledge of a failing project or company will buy up so much. How market price it is another story, just like TopGlove. The Lim's know they will continue to make tons of money, but how market price TG is beyond their control.

If he is right, then you stand to earn alot, if he is wrong and rush too fast, then die together. At least he has a dream to grow the company, some CEO and owner dont want risk and rather play safe and just enjoy their wealth, like YTL.

Everybody chill man, nobody knows where it will go, but confirm wont gap down like anson says. If gap down, I will all in. Anson is wrong to compare SCIB PP to Serba PP, a portion of Serba PP is used to service the debt, which is bad. SCIB PP on the other hand is to secure more projects. AirAsia PP is to 100% pay off debt and obligation, which is the worse.
So, dont worry, as long as they can secure more projects, this is ok. Look at Grab, Anthony Tan accepted so much funds to the point he only holds 2.2% of Grab, not sure if he has other vehicle that owns Grab indirectly, but share dillusion during growing stage is normal, look at Yinson, RI and PP few times.
Karim's goal is to grow SCIB and KPower big and fast. if want slow and steady win the race type, maybe go for Public Bank or Maybank.
