TauRx药物仍待审查
另一方面，针对持股20％卓睿药业（TauRx）的阿兹海默症药物HMTM，林国泰冀望监管单位的结果很快就会出炉。

他指出，现在，人们面对生活成本高涨的问题，尤其是医疗成本。因此，若HMTM成功，就能拯救许多人命，解决许多病痛，并节省许多人和整个医疗系统的开销。

他还说，相比整个药剂领域和大药厂，云顶在药剂领域是相对小的业者。无论如何，他认为，必须要以负责任的方式进行这项发展。

“我们要确保药物有效而且更可负担。”

陈广汉解释，与其他的阿兹海默症药物不同，HMTM是口服药，所以免去要到医院或医疗设备注射等的烦恼。相比之下，口服药更方便，不仅医疗成本相对低，也省去交通等烦恼。

今年3月，HMTM最新试验结果显示，从该疾病早期至中度痴呆的病谱都显示出“持续效益”。第三阶段LUCIDITY试验的24个月数据显示出参与者病情“显著”缓和。

云顶不打算投资AI
不过，他强调，云顶不会、也不打算投资人工智能（AI）。

他指出，现在能源业务，尤其对环境课题敏感，所以该公司也转型到绿色能源。而且世界已经改变，愿意接受挑战的公司，将保持竞争力，已经不能像以前，一直重复做现有的业务而还继续取得成功。

他说，虽然博彩业务仍是云顶主要的业务，但要证明也可以成为全球业者，公司要改变。

他补充，在大马博彩领域的扩展机会可能有限，但其他国家仍有机会，云顶肯定会继续探讨，尤其回酬合适，肯定会继续投资。

云顶主席兼首席执行员丹斯里林国泰说，该集团的转型计划仅仅处于初期，这是一项长期发展策略。

他说，云顶创立已经超过50多年，向来很少向大众解释他们的长期策略，除非他们对于这项业务非常有信心，而且或多或少已经得到证明。

“如果我们不尝试，成功的概率就很低，正如云顶创办人丹斯里林梧桐所说，我们要勤奋、要努力，不要只是追随者，要成为领导者，所以云顶已将业务多元化到其他领域。”
