You should be asking yourself, "Why are they Shorting" ?
When every Glove company is earning 100% + Net Profit Growth Quarter On Quarter, why short ?
Trade swings I understand. Why short all the way down when the valuations need to be substantially higher ?

The investing public needs to be aware and educated about the insruments they put their hard earned money into.
Therefore, I am listing some links that give you a fair idea of Derivatives. In Malaysia, we have what is called "Structured Warrants". If you google Structured Warrants, the only links you come up with are Malaysian and Singaporean.
This instrument does not exist anywhere else in the world. Why then, is it called "European Styled Cash Settled" ?
These instruments are actually "Contract For Difference" or CFD. Which basically means a "BET". More precisely, a Bet ON a Bet.
Typically when we buy the share of a company,we are assuming, with some understanding of the business and its prospects its value at a future date. That could be termed a calculated bet.
However, when you buy a CFD, you are Betting against the Bet someone (An Investment Bank) has taken on the value of a share at a future date. Typical to Malaysia, that Investment Bank (IB) is not required to tell you what he does to market make the share so that he does not lose.
In what sense of the word is this called Investing ?
There is NOT EVEN ONE Structured Warrant issued so far, where the Settlement value is more than the Break-even price for
the issuer.

Simon, Yes it is. Not only that, the issuer is not required to disclose any information about the Market Making or Hedging it does.
No Disclosure Norms !
Every company is required to disclose any and all trades in its own shares. CFD's have ZERO value by itself. It's based on an underlying Asset, the share of a company. Why then, are the issuer's of CFD's not required by law to disclose their dealings in that Asset ?

JussyOracle, here's some dope. If you tally the share prices with the Break-even price for the IB, it will stun you.
I think I’ve figured the Approximate formula to arrive at target prices for the IB’s based on the Warrants.
The formula is:
SP – Settlement Price
CMP – Current Market Price
EP – Exercise Price
ER – Exercise Ratio
• We need to assume the SP (Settlement Price) to be the Issue Price.
Break-even price equation:
CMP = (SP X ER) + EP
Example Top Glove C81 – Recently Expired
SP – 0.15
ER – 5
EP – 5.667
CMP = (0.15 X 5) + 5.667
CMP = RM 6.417
VWAP was RM 6.3466
Settlement Price (SP) was RM 0.1359 instead of RM 0.15(Which was the issue price)

Morpheus61 Thanks for your explanation. Short a business making billions because of structured warrants? Fascinating. Fun. And profitable. Because of these shorties I have managed to accumulate both Kossan and Top Glove at ridiculously low prices relative to FEPS. Keep on shorting I say!
Haha That's the spirit bro.

The following are 2 Analyst report for 2 companies (Boxed in Yellow) in India.
I only want to point out the twisted rationale of the Analysts Reports being floated about Glove companies.
1. Granules India Limited (Pharma Company). No they don't produce Vaccines.
The Analyst has estimated an Earnings(EPS) increase of 21% for FY 2021/2022 (The EPS growth is Annual)
They assign a PE of 16.

2. Trident Limited (The largest Terry Towel & Bed Linen manufacturer in the world)
The Analyst has estimated an Earnings(EPS) increase of 38% for FY 2021 & 15% for FY 2022.
They assign a Forward PE for FY 2022 of 11. (The EPS growth is Annual)
https://imgur.com/84IjvVB
I REST MY CASE !
On the other hand you have Glove companies (ALL OF THEM) producing 100% to 200% incremental EPS QoQ (That's 400% to 800% PER ANNUM).
And what PE do the ANALYST's give it ? 10 ? 11? 12 ?

Ben, there has to be a reason for the Short Selling. When the fundamentals of all the companies in the segment are so strong, there has to be a compelling reason.
From my assessment, it's the CFD's. The structured warrants.
No sense in empathy for the mistake in setting exercise values because I sincerely think that CFD's are a curse on the financial system. Designed to Destroy value & wealth. Refer back to the historical data and you will see the Billions these IB's have made from them and also see that 99% of the time Only the issuer makes money.
For those of you who are unaware, a CFD is 'Contract For Difference'. That's what this instrument is. It is called Structured Warrants to make it sound like Company issued Warrants. Basically making a fool of all of us.
