Sinoboy, that's right. Right now, retailers are living for the betterment of the IB's. So it appears. Come on people. You know where the Problem lies. Take up the issue in Force. Let's make a difference.

We don't doubt our own assesment nor our judgement. We also don't doubt that the IB's are screwing us for their own misdeeds.

keyman, you're definitely a typist for the IB. You don't have to preach about the Glove Sector normalising. Trying to make the IB look all ethical and intelligent. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE GLOVE INDUSTRY. The only thing wrong is the IB. Bloody Crooks

Ofcourse the IB will revise TP down now. The Warrant expiring mid Jan has an Exercise price of RM 1.96

Exactly, whoever said life was fair. Applies to the crooks too. There's no perfect crime, ever. They've made enough over the years skimming off the poor retailers. Time for a change.

We are not responsible for the IB making or losing money. Why issue the Warrants if they themselves have have such great risks to it ? And then come up with some cock and bull story to tell US, the people who have nothing to do with WARRANTS.

bpsiah, here's a refresher. Attached are links to the list of warrants.
All you have to do is tally the Exercise prices & Expiry dates with the Share price on those dates. I assure you the graph pattern will look EXACTLY the same (Factor in the ratio).
The following is a list of CFD's ('Structured Warrants' as they are called ONLY in Malaysia)

If the Investment Banks think that issuing CFD's (Structured Warrants) is not the cause for all this UNNATURAL & ILLOGICAL price movements and ridiculous analysis, show us the Balls and stop issuing these Warrants. Let us see what happens and then let us, the people decide.
Please know that a whole lot of us, investors including me, have nothing to do with these warrants. Therefore, why should we have to be told about the IB Hedging or Cornering or Skidding ?
Bloody ridiculous.

@Market Watcher @ Sinoboy @ Toneefa
Not just the IB, No one foresaw the Pandemic.
That does not give the IB the right to make the Entire Investing Public responsible for their gain.
I still say, BAN STRUCTURED WARRANTS. It will save a Ton of people from a lot of pain.
Just out of curiosity, how many of you actually trade in Structured Warrants ?

Hi BenTan,
Should'nt the Booking of revenue & profits be at the time of Raising the Invoice ? Given lead time of 510 days for NBR & 340 days for NR, 510 days equates to 5+ quarters & 340 days equates to 4 ?
2020-12-19 10:27 | Report Abuse
@Agjl, one perspective could be a good opportunity for the IB to buy into the retailer Shorts and sell back to the retailer at higher prices. We must remember the retailers don't have the capacity of the IB's and tend to easily panic. So small losses and they'll cover their shorts.
This could lead to a cycle of buying upwards. However, the IB's will necessarily keep prices within CW levels.
Small tidbit. Someone mentioned that some warrants are Cash Settled.
All warrants not issued by the company on Bursa are " European Styled Cash Settled" Why European ? Because America does not permit CFD's.

My question is:
" Why should a company's valuation be determined by some Warrant ? How is that considered fair practice ? "
2020-12-19 09:44 | Report Abuse
Crazy logic. If there are 95 million Net Short Sold shares. They need to buy back to cover. I challenge any big operator to raise the price by RM 1 and hold it there. You'll see the IB scampering to buy back

Sad that no one feels the need to raise their voice against something that everyone knows and accepts is the biggest impediment to share valuation. Very Sad.

One thing we should all be glad about... The naysayers have all openly accepted that the IB are MANIPULATING prices because of the Warrants.

When expected earnings are kind of known and so high, the payout on Warrants could destroy some IBs. My personal view is let them burn. But that's why they keep spewing ASP drop, Over production, Problems with foreign labour etc. Just the sheer number of paid typists is enough proof these guys are shit scared

@Toneefa. You're right on all counts. I don't have the data on Supermax Warrants yet, to be able to comment. The reason why the Warrants are a huge difference is the TP you mentioned. Everyone in stock markets should know that Companies earning like the glove counters should be able to get higher PE.

Let the valuation happen as the company progresses. What gives an Investment Bank the right to Pre-Determine the share price. Besides, they collect money on selling these bets. Which they use to supress prices.

@Toneefa, you'd be surprised. There's another 30 Warrants on TG from now till 3Q 2021. So far. Some later ones do have a slightly higher Exercise price but is that to say, the value of the company 3 quarters from now is determined already by the IB? And they get paid to do that ?
2020-12-18 20:28 | Report Abuse
@ToneeFa bro, do check again. There are fresh Warrants issued very recently. This will go on and on and on. Share prices are supposed to reflect the value of a company from time to time NOT the Warrants issued by some Investment Bank

Guys, I urge you to take a step back and think. Whatever we analyse means nothing. The price will move according to the Warrant Exercise price, Expiry and the number of Warrants the IB has with themselves.

I don't like what is happening here on KLSE. Why would anyone want their hard earned money to be manipulated and sucked away by some Investment Bank. They should stop being called "INVESTMENT BAMKS".
Find another name for these LEECHES.
