Awesome quarterly results. Just 1Q and the profit is already better than the entire FY2020 and more than half of FY2021. There'll be some sweet div coming in the next quarter.

@flyhub888 Yes, most institutions gave TP above RM10 with the exception of Maybank which gave Tenaga only RM9.30. Refer to this article: https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/analysts-mixed-tnbs-re-progress

Could never really understand why would anyone want to buy for illegal punters especially now that the shops are open. Imagine hitting the jackpot for MYR95mil and the website decides to shut down the next day. What a bummer.

@investortrader88 possible dividend windfall if the deal got through?

Yes, I noticed that too. But heck, who are we to deny him/her wanting to sell cheaper shares to the masses...

Dividends should be in on the 22Mar.

@Mark Goh Many thanks. Based on your graph, can I interpret that BK is of "high value" ie high EPS and high share price since it is located on the far right region but yet still undervalued because it is below the line?

MQ, many thanks for your analysis.

HLB shares are about 4-5 times pricier than PBB. Use the same multiplication factor and you'll find that dollar-to-dollar that PBB dividends still have better returns.

Pretty disappointing. EPS is less than 50% pre-covid quarters. Comparatively, sports toto has fared better.

1 cent...that's underwhelming indeed.

@sincerestock just want to mention that Tenaga is the only electric supplier in Peninsular Malaysia. The arrangement is different for Sabah and Sarawak. Also to add that whilst it has monopoly in Peninsular, it still needs to buy commodities to generate electricity which might squeeze its earnings. Anyways like Kimsua said, the only thing that matter is the earnings - everything else will follow suit.

Bravo, another great quarter again. Earnings must have also been supported by their chemical business as well.

Well if PBB is gonna do a PBB which means payout dividend of about 50% of their earnings, then it'll will need to do exceptionally well for this final quarter (north of EPS 8.0 cents) to beat the previous interim dividend of 7.50cents. Let's wait and see.

Just wait for the next qtr results in a few days to ascertain their earnings.

Alright then. There were some good news with Shoppee warehouse and all. Let see how that would translate to additional EPS and DPS in the future.

Would be good to have dividend for this quarter, otherwise the financial year will not have any dividends which has not happened in a long while. Not pretty optics even for capital gains on recovery play.
2021-12-17 18:05 | Report Abuse
The DPS has exceeded EPS for the past 2 years. Will Tenaga do it again this year...

Seems like they (Digi, Axiata and Maxis) are being punished for not taking up the 5g offer. However, they should bite the bullet and stick to their plans, otherwise there'll be no differentiation between them eg right now Digi has the highest speed.

Awesome. Doubled the dividends from last year.

Did Axis Reit just issue additional shares amounting to more than 10% of total shares which will dilute the earnings of the current shares? Will any sifu be kind enough to advise?

Ughh.. bad quarterly result but that is to be expected with lock-down and restrictions. The question is whether revenue and profit will get a boost in the next two quarters to end their financial year matching previous years.

Now I can understand the reason the new CEO wanting to sell off Btoto business when he took over. In Malaysia, besides dealing with market sentiments, we have to deal with politics and race (religion) issues too. Too many reasons to look elsewhere for investment.

This is extremely frustrating. The stock keeps getting slapped by external factors one after another. First it's Pemulih, then it's coal prices and now cukai makmur.
2021-10-30 14:55 | Report Abuse
I wonder if the Cukai Makmur / prosperity tax will compel Axis REIT to distribute more than 90% of their income next year? That should translate to increase dividends for it's shareholders.

@lionel messi, according to an article by thedegemarkets a few years ago, it'll negatively impact Perstima profits.

@starsherpa. Your concern is not to say unreasonable. A couple of power providers in UK and Singapore have already folded and suppose we can assume that the same costs pressure is applicable to TNB since it is a worldwide issue.
Let's hope that the impact will be minimum as I do love it's dividends.

Solid but not outstanding. IGB Reit at lower price dishes out higher div.
