Guys, at $0.21 the market capitalisation of AT is $689M Do you know how much money this is? Is AT total assets including the proposed glove manufacturing facilities worth $689M? Please take a look at AT latest QR results & balance sheet Do not be caught in all the excitement of glove manufacturing as when AT facilities come on stream AT will be a new kid on the block having to complete against the market share of existing players. The market demand may also change with vaccines

You are right to be worried HamsterHuat. With so many shares outstanding after RI there is every possibility may even go lower. Like you I too am worried
2020-11-30 11:21 | Report Abuse
After RI 4.4B + outstanding shares too large. Consolidation sure to come. Prefer to be more cautious. Your money you take the risk. $ 720M profit only paper profit. Not Realised. If cash in bank $720M & Fintec only $0.10 will sell car & house and put all in Fintec
2020-11-30 10:24 | Report Abuse
Worry as in 2017 Fintec will drop after RI and possibly of another share consolidation because outstanding shares will be 4.5B+ resulting in ending up losing money big time again

Am surprised VC-WB is performing better than VC. VC/WB @$0.045 whereas VC still @$0.06 .VC-WB outstanding shares only 59M less prone to too many weak holders compared to mother 1.19B

Sell mother if got profit. Wait until last few days of RI dateline before submitting your RI application Watch carefully mother price movement before you decide. Remember RI is 1.9B which is a lot. Good Luck everyone

Can the price of the free warrant offset if there is an eventual fall in price of the RI? So many questions to consider.
2020-11-29 11:52 | Report Abuse
Another poser for consideration. When RI is eventually listed since there will be so many Fintec shares in the market is there a possibility that it may even drop to below RI price resulting in a lose lose scenario for everyone?
2020-11-29 11:16 | Report Abuse
If everybody starts to sell the mother can it drop to below the RI price? If that happens should we still subscribe for the RI?

You are right JackMa133. As I have said earlier after the shares consolidation and RI in 2017 Fintec went all the way down until now and up again whether it is just to lure the shareholders to subscribe for the RI before another impending share consolidation (sure to come) and back in the doldrums again. Only time will tell. Everybody have to be extra vigilant and think carefully your next move. Hopefully history will not repeat and we do not get caught again
2020-11-28 13:08 | Report Abuse
Hopefully now different. If I remember correctly after the RI & Share consolidation from 2017 Fintec never really recover until now. In January this year before Covid Fintec was trading at $0.045'$0.05. Current prices being pushed up because oI RI. If prices dropped again after RI as in 2017 then must wait for again 2-3 years for another RI for prices to go up again??
2020-11-28 12:07 | Report Abuse
In April 2017 ABTB (Fintec) 1.1B shares already proposed share consolidation. Now after RI Fintec issued shares even larger than 2017. Am sure eventually will announce share consolidation. In 2017 after share consolidated & RI share price dropped to $0.02 in March this year History may repeat Just be very, very careful Don’t be too caught up by all the excitement
2020-11-28 10:42 | Report Abuse
Fintec $720M profit is only paper profit. If Fintec were to try to realise these profit by actually selling, the share price will definitely fall as it is akin to forced selling. Are there so many buyers willing to buy those shares knowing it is Fintec unloading? I feel that the share prices of many of the companies that Fintec are holding are being artificially prop up. Do not be misled by the so called spectacular QR results

Share consolidation to bring outstanding shares to below 1B
2020-11-27 16:55 | Report Abuse
oskchoon is right. Fintec after share consolidation in 2017 droppef to even $0.02 in March this year.
2020-11-27 12:49 | Report Abuse
Chances are Fintec will do a share consolidation as no of share issued after RI will be quite large. Profit only on paper unless converted to cash. Be very careful.

Sad NsK has moved on from VC & is now a substantial shareholder in another KLSE company . Doubt will come back to VC. May have even sold his 5M VC. Changes in shareholding of 5M not required to report to Bursa. Instead of welcoming NSK and invite him to be a board member to tap on his expertise, sadly VC BOD considered him as hostile.

Zhm540, Thank you for concurring what I wrote earlier. EDs must lead by example - be substantial shareholders. It is a red flag if substantial shareholders sell and cease to be shareholders. BOD needs to build confidence by EDs being substantial shareholders again unless there is a funding issue. If EDs buy back and hold long term it will effectively reduce the free float in a stroke and the number of weak holders taking quick profit & cut loss. I hope some corporate raiders will take notice of the large free float and low price or a cash rich company looking for a backdoor listing will make a play just to shake up VC
2020-11-25 11:31 | Report Abuse
Any company can be taken to greater heights. It depends on the mindset of the people running it. VC has that potential if only there is more commitment on the part of BOD. If EDs put in their own money & are prepared to hold long term die die must make sure VC does even better because their own money is at stake.

It is the BOD that is collectively responsible for the company not CSY alone. A public listed company should be like a country where the government of the day ie directors should be answerable to the rakyat ie shareholders. A responsible government listen to the sentiments of the people and take action according. Likewise a dynamic BOD monitor ((hopefully can get a PA to monitor this chat group) comments of shareholders and act on them. Shareholders & BOD can work in tandem together for the good of the company by building up confidence. BOD must always lead by example and not sit in isolation oblivious of shareholders sentiments
2020-11-25 10:20 | Report Abuse
Fully agreed with you zhm540. No directors other than CSY are shareholders. As I have written before in this forum all Ed's with the exception of CSY also unload shortly after NSK pulled out. My contention is if going to ask us shareholders to subscribe for the RI all Ed's must lead by example first not only being shareholders but as substantial shareholders and be committed to subscribe for the RI. To put it more bluntly it is just like asking us to give more money to pay directors fees and other company expenses when Ed's are not prepared to come out with their own money to invest in the company they are managing. The other point of contention is the Ed's chose to be substantial shareholders of other KLSE companies instead of VC of which they are Ed's and drawing directors fees SAD

Bursa approved 156M PP on 26 October. Why would an investor want to subscribe later for the PP when can buy now more cheaply than even the first tranche of PP fixed at $0.073? The party that subscribed to the earlier 109M would have suffer a huge paper loss unless already unload in the recent run up.

I suspect there is a possibility somebody in this forum could be under payroll to spam this chat group with worthless chatter purposely to drown adverse comments on VC and discourage any meaningful serious discussion amongst VC shareholders.
Nobody will devote so much time and energy every day to post such unproductive materials unless under instructions. Don't see this happening daily in other KLSE companies forum. Anybody seeing such useless postings will keep away from this forum. For quite sometime there is hardly any meaningful discussion and postings amongst VC stakeholders except for the daily meaningless chats.Very sad.

I have watched VC dropped to $0.025 whether due to margin call of substantial shareholders or short selling which we will never know and the upward movement when NSK started buying into VC and the conversion of ICPS by CSY to emerge as the largest shareholder to thwart NSK. When NSK sold off, all EDs with the exception of CSY also used this opportunity to unload and ceased to be shareholders. I am not sure how many in this chat group are aware of CSY holding cost. Those who are aware will not be too quick to take short term profits or cut loss. Wondering how many who have bought between $0.025-$0.035 are still holding in view of this knowledge. The caveat is why all EDs who have sold earlier and ceased to be shareholders have not used the current low prices as opportunity to buy back to defend VC just in case of another hostile takeover but instead chose to be substantial shareholders in other KLSE companies. What is the rationale of not doing so when VC have already announced so many multiple proposals? Shouldn’t all EDs (apart from CSY) be substantial shareholders and committed to subscribe to the rights first before asking ordinary shareholders to do so?

Not much articles on Vortex since NSK bought into VC . BOD need to put in more PR effort to engage fund managers & investment analysts to cover VC and create more interest from the investment community. Every company is fighting for investors money to invest in their company long term but don’t see that happening in VC Weak shareholders sentiments is a reason why many take quick profit & cut loss. With VC large free float and current low price should make VC a target for takeover or for back door listing. Hopefully this will happen to transform VC to greater heights

Zhm540, You are right. Almost all once penny stocks have doubled in price eg Fintec, CME AT, Jadi, MLab, MNC, MQTech, MTouche, MTronic, now all higher than VC. The problem with VC too many shares in the hands of weak holders ever ready to cut loss.& take quick profit No super high net worth individual being shareholder to mop up outstanding shares and hold to reduce free float. VC BOD are not even substantial shareholders except for CSY.

If BOD cannot rebuild shareholders confidence can forget about rights issue. Substantial shareholders I am sure will not be willing to pump in more money. There are so many other better well managed companies with more solid assets and potential to invest
Apart from CSY who is committed to subscribe to the rights as the largest shareholder there are no commitments from the other VC BOD

In most public listed companies normally the Executive Chairman, MD & Executive Directors are substantial shareholders just to secure their positions & prevent being removed by hostile parties during AGM/EGM. Are there any information not disclose hat prevent them from buying back VC shares that they sold back in July to become substantial shareholders again?
2020-11-07 16:28 | Report Abuse
Asking shareholders to subscribe to rights issue and pump in money but Chairman, MD & ED are not even willing to become shareholders. BOD must show commitment and lead by example by first becoming substantial shareholders and pledge to subscribe for the rights before asking the ordinary shareholders to do the same
2020-11-06 20:49 | Report Abuse
Instead of Rights issue VC BOD can look into refinancing of the term loan or discuss with the existing bank to reduce the interest rate or extend the loan tenure. Directors can also sign personal guarantee if need be based on shares as collateral but unfortunately neither the Chairman or MD or the other ED (EG) are substantial shareholders. of VC. EG sold 91M VC on 21 July & CPH sold 45M on 9 July 2020 at way above current market price CPH & EG are substantial shareholders of other KLSE companies but not VC. Don’t tell me have no confidence to buy back VC to become substantial shareholders again when current VC price is now lower than what they sold back in July. Sad.
