Malaysian stock market is full of inside dealers, who manipulate market unlike any other market I have been involved in. This makes investing on fundamentals very difficult. Poor retail investors are in the crosshairs! Market like this short selling should not be allowed at all! Compared to others markets, foreign investors are mostly absent for this reason.

I am not expecting great 1qtr results, unless there is material contribution from offshore ventures. Qtr result may be lower than expectations due to one off costs from offshore investment and lower activity in Malaysia. The focus must be on longer term prospects which is securing contract and generating robust offshore revenue going forward. Best to manage expectations and focus on medium term

Btw when contracts are terminated there is usually notice period to serve, subject to contract, it could be 3 months or longer. You can’t just pull out.

Newages00 Your assumption is a rationale one. However investment is not always based on rationale. Contracts are not renewed for 2 reasons, either the service provider can’t meet SLA and is incompetent or the fees are too high. As far as I know none of these apply to Myeg! What is left is for other reasons, namely, handouts. As retailer investors you are at the mercy of these guys, sometimes you will get it right and sometimes wrong.....but never based on sound business reasons.

All this speculation really should not be happening. Company has duty to its shareholders and general market to keep them updated if material information on pending contract is circulating. Particularly if management company and significant owners are privy to insider information which they are using to conduct share dealing at the expense of retail customers. This patently is happening albeit retail customers can’t see who the culprits are until close of market. This is very poor governance and oversight by the regulators. No wonder foreign investors are reluctant to enter the market, unless they also have access to insider information. This repetitive behaviour is nothing short of fraudulent activity by Myeg and it’s management. Very unethical!

Very unlikely 70 sen, given that AA had a chance to give higher special dividend earlier and did not and secondly, they have to fund share by back...can’t do both! I suspect the dividend will be in region of 20-40, max.

Whether they win or not it does not matter, the issue is that both the regulator and the airport authority are not working for the benefit of Malaysia....they need to see the wider picture and what AA is trying to achieve. It should be seen as win win situation, and not treated as political or personality problem. Need to work in cohesion for Malaysia. Key metrics used by normal educated analyst does not result in AA share being values at 1.82, what genious formula or metrics is he using, please enlighten!, any calls? I am keen to understand having worked in the industry in UK.

CIMB research analyst is a dick head from what I can see. Is he educated or uses the dart board to come out with his recommendations? Shameful, really. CIMB should be embarrassed employing such folks.
