Menutup sekolah-sekolah termasuk taska, pusat japan, tadika dan tabika;
Mengurangkan 50 peratus kapasiti sebenar penumpang bagi perkhidmatan bas henti-henti;
Menghadkan kapasiti kenderaan persendirian kepada dua orang;
Menjadikan Stesen Kuarantin yang telah diwartakan sebagai Pusat Wad Tambahan / Rawatan Pesakit (Hospital Extension).

Cases on the 24th stood at 1,002, while they were 1,083 on the 23rd. On the 12th of the month, the cases stood at 1,007. That was the first time ever that the daily reported cases breached the 1,000th mark.

At least 211 more coronavirus fatalities have raised the death toll in Iran to 26,380, the country's Health Ministry said on Thursday.

MADRID — Spain’s health ministry has reported 9,419 new coronavirus cases as the country struggles to control Europe’s most worrisome flare-up.

The ministry says 3,715 of the cases were diagnosed in the last 24 hours. The remainder were from previous days but not reported to central authorities until now.

Spain leads Europe with more than 778,600 cases. The ministry reported another 182 confirmed deaths, increasing the total to 31,973.

Paris will likely move to a "maximum alert" level for COVID-19, France's health minister said on Thursday, with the government set to introduce new measures to control the spread of the virus as early as Monday if the situation does not improve over the next couple of days.

One of the measures that could be introduced in the capital is the closure of bars and restaurants, an action already taken in Marseille and Aix, cities currently designated at "maximum alert," the second to last alert level before a formal state of emergency is declared.

Health minister Olivier Véran said three key COVID-19 indicators had been hit in Paris: the city has 263 new COVID-19 cases daily per 100,000 people, 105 new cases daily per 100,000 people over the age of 65, and between 30-35% of intensive care units now treat COVID-19 patients.

It comes as France recorded nearly 14,000 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours and 63 deaths. In Paris, there were between 800 and 1200 new cases recorded daily last week. For weeks, the number of people being hospitalised with the virus has been rising.

During his nearly one hour speech, France's health minister explained that the virus was spreading "too fast" throughout France, stating that the country was in a "phase of worsening."

Another 6,914 coronavirus cases have been reported in the UK.

The death toll also rose by 59, taking the tragic total to 42,143.

England reported 5,589 new cases of Covid-19, Wales had 398, Scotland recorded 668 and Northern Ireland had 259. The total now stands at 460,178.

Earlier today, another 55 hospital deaths were reported across Britain. The figure is a rise on last Thursday's total of 33 deaths in hospitals.

Of those deaths, 44 died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 30,049, NHS England said on Thursday.

Elsewhere, fifty areas of England are now under local lockdown rules after the government announced tough new restrictions to stop coronavirus spiralling out of control.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced people who don't live together will be legally banned from mixing in any private home, private garden or indoor venue in the Liverpool City Region, Warrington, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.

The law will formally change in the early hours of Saturday at one minute past midnight.

Iran’s Health Ministry spokeswoman says 183 people have died of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of deaths to 26,169.

In a press briefing on Wednesday, Sima-Sadat Lari confirmed 3,582 new cases of COVID-19 infection, raising the total number of infections to 457,219.

The spokeswoman said 380,956 patients have so far recovered from COVID-19 or been discharged from hospital, but 4,093 are still in critical conditions of the disease.

She said the high-risk “red” zones include Tehran, Qom, Mazandaran, East Azarbaijan, Isfahan, Yazd, Ardabil, Khorasan Razavi, Khuzestan, Hamadan, West Azarbaijan, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Alborz, Lorestan, Markazi, Ilam, South Khorasan, Kermanshah, North Khorasan, Semnan, Gilan, Zanjan, Qazvin, and Kerman provinces.

The number of coronavirus cases has risen by 8,430 since Tuesday, bringing the number of active cases to 18,110, including 821 in serious condition. There are 212 people on ventilators. The death toll has risen by 29 to 1,552.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told members of the coronavirus cabinet on Wednesday that the lockdown exit strategy could take between half a year to a year. The Health Ministry and Ronni Gamzu, the country's coronavirus crisis czar, have recommended an R number (the average number of people each infected person will go on to infect) of 0.8 or lower as a benchmark for gradually lifting the lockdown, alongside a stable decrease in the number of cases.

An estimated 3,302 more people tested positive for a SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection, the most reported by health agency RIVM in a single day. Wednesday's total broke the previous record, set just one day earlier, by nearly ten percent.

The agency estimated that 9,227 people have tested positive for the virus this week, 35 percent more than last week. The data released on Wednesday also showed a near 40-percent increase over the single-day figure from last Wednesday, which was also record-breaking at the time.

The newest daily figures showed included 377 more infected residents of Amsterdam, a 45 percent gain over last week. Rotterdam reported 259 more infected residents, a 67 percent hike, and 249 people live in The Hague, up 96 percent from last Wednesday.

During a press conference earlier this week, Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Health Minister Hugo de Jonge said they expected five thousand infections per day in the near future. It was part of the Cabinet's justification to introduce new social restrictions in the Netherlands which took effect on Tuesday evening.

Thirteen more deaths were also tied to Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and 48 more people were hospitalized with the illness, the data released on Wednesday showed.

There were 701 people from the Netherlands being treated for Covid-19 in hospitals on Wednesday, an increase of eight since Tuesday. Of the 701 patients, 150 were admitted to intensive care units, the most since May 31, and an increase of eight. Other hospital departments were treating 551 patients, the same as Tuesday.

PARIS - France's new COVID-19 cases increased by more than 10,000 for the first time in three days on Wednesday while the number of people hospitalised with the disease rose by almost a hundred to a 10-week high of 6,590.

French health authorities reported 12,845 additional infections after 8,051 new cases on Sunday and 4,070 on Saturday.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 563,535, the second-highest tally in Western Europe and double the 281,025 recorded by the end of August, with part of the surge accounted for by a massive increase in testing.

The seven-day moving average, that smoothes out reporting irregularities, is at 11,771 versus a low of 272 on May 27, two weeks after France exited one of Europe's strictest lockdowns.

On Wednesday, Spain registered 177 more COVID-19 deaths and over 11,000 new infections.

The city of Madrid will be confined within the next few days, the Spanish Health Minister announced on Wednesday, after reaching an agreement with regional leaders to establish thresholds that will force the worst-hit regions to take stricter measures.

“The situation in Madrid is complicated and worrisome,” said Health Minister Salvador Illa in a news conference, who said Spain’s capital region registered nearly 5,000 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday -- the second-highest number since spring.

In a meeting between Spain’s regional leaders, the majority voted to establish thresholds that make hard-hit areas take confinement measures, even if the regional government is opposed to them.

Once the legislation is published, which Illa said will be in the next few days, all Spanish cities that have detected more than 500 infections per 100,000 people in the last two weeks, a positivity rate above 10% and more than 35% of ICU beds occupied will be cordoned off.

More than 7,000 people in the UK have tested positive for coronavirus for the second day in a row, with a further 71 deaths from the disease.

LONDON: Britain's economy shrank by almost a fifth in the second quarter, entering recession because of the nationwide coronavirus lockdown, revised official data showed on Wednesday.

Gross domestic product contracted by a record 19.8 per cent in the April-June period, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said in a statement that revised its initial figure of a 20.4-per cent slump.

The economy also declined by 2.5 per cent in the first quarter, the ONS added. That was however worse than the previous figure of a 2.2-per cent decline.

The grim data confirmed Britain has entered a recession with two successive contractions in economic activity, sparked by a nationwide lockdown on March 23 that was not relaxed fully until early June.

An ABC News analysis of COVID-19 trends across all 50 U.S. states as well as Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico found there were increases in newly confirmed cases over the past two weeks in 32 states plus Puerto Rico.

The analysis also found increases in the daily positivity rate of COVID-19 tests in 20 states, increases in COVID-19 hospitalizations in 21 states and increases in daily COVID-19 death tolls in nine states.

The trends were all analyzed from data collected and published by the COVID Tracking Project over the past two weeks, using the linear regression trend line of the seven-day moving average.

One state -- Kansas -- saw a record rise in the daily number of new cases, while two states -- Missouri and North Dakota -- hit a record number of current COVID-19 hospitalizations.

The White House coronavirus task force's latest weekly briefing for governors, obtained ABC News on Monday night, identified 22 states as currently in the "red zone" for COVID-19 cases, indicating more than 100 new cases per 100,000 population last week. There were 18 states in the "red zone" in last week's briefing and 15 states in the one prior.

An average of 1,540.7 people per day tested positive for the new coronavirus (Covid-19) in Belgium during the past week, according to the latest figures by Sciensano on Tuesday.

Over the 7-day period from 19 to 25 September, this is still an 11% increase compared to a week earlier.

Additionally, 178.2 infections were confirmed per 100,000 inhabitants over the past two weeks, which is an increase of 122% compared to two weeks earlier.

Canada added 1,657 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the country’s total case count to 156,794.

Provincial health authorities also said another 13 people had died after testing positive for COVID-19. Canada’s death toll now stands at 9,291.

Speaking at press conference on Tuesday, Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam said the daily case counts have now reached the peak of daily cases seen in April.

In the Netherlands, 19,326 new Covid-19 cases were reported over the last seven days, according to the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).

This represents an almost 50% increase compared to last week, when there were 13,471 cases.

The number of hospitalisations also rose from 305 to 501. In intensive care the number of admissions in one week doubled: from 53 to 100.

The country has an increasing number of coronavirus patients who can infect others with the virus. According to the RIVM there are now about 146,000 infectious persons in the Netherlands.

Last week there were more than 104,000 and the week before that about 95,000. The number is an estimate, the RIVM emphasised, as it could potentially be more than 200,000 people.

The number of people in France who have died from Covid-19 infections rose by 85, versus 81 on Monday, taking the total death toll to 31,893.

As of Tuesday a total of 6,500 people were hospitalised for a Covid-19 infection in France, 85 more over 24 hours. This included 1,204 patients in intensive care units, a rise of 40 since Monday.
