long term investing you can mostly earn if the business models and fundamental of the company is good. However, if the market sentiments and overall economy is shit, you are likely to suffer from loss just like now. The whole world index have felt around 10 to 20% in 2018.

Change your mindset ray, long term keep is good but its benefiting those big players. The best way is to take profit first and buy back lower.

I am not saying genm will drop, nor giving any buy or sell call, I am just trying to say the true intentions of investment banks. However, whether its going up or down, we won't know until the momentum come. Its currently churning with a small volume.

The reason why they are giving buy call is simply because few reasons

1. They needed someone to eat their stock while they distributing. For example, their corporate clients, mutual funds and trading team etc have bought alot of stocks during monday at a lower price.

2. They want to earn broker fee or they are hired by someone to write the research report in favour of that person. Of course they earn a professional fee for writing that.

It is going to churn for a while before moving up or down. Accumulation or distribution is currently taking place.

But is highly unlikely to drop below rm3, even if they dump because it is already undervalue at that price.

If foreign funds dump, everyone in malaysia can go home, no one can fight.

It is just impossible for genm to break Rm3 given that it has a good business models and look at its NTA.

@lofan73, totally agree with you. Its the way they do things, PH need to learn how to now impact the market and the economy, how to boost the foreign investors confidence.

I am talking about the poor investors that investing with their hard earned money. They work so hard yet got punished for electing the new governments. I am the supporter of PH but I have to tell out my honest opinions. Doing things like that, Gamuda, myeg, genting is actually damaging all the innocent investors. They did nothing wrong? Why should they get this kind of punishment?

However, the fact is the syndicate take this as a reason to short down the stock for a huge chunk of profit, then collect low while all the retailers are cutting. Of course they do. Either asking their friends to buy it or using nominees account, they need to have a sufficient percentage of holding or else they might lose their ownership and position. The big volume is caused by the syndicates, they need a big volume to accumulate and therefore push it higher to distribute for a handsome profit.
