FELDA so eager to privatize
Those who return to them at 1.30 feel shortchanged by FELDA

With only one election.
How will foreigners perceive our dear country.

We need more ppl like whistleblower99
To warn the investing community of these crooked companies
Keep up the good work
Bursa has lost its way
More concerned with its bottomline
Than dealing with actual issues plaguing the market

The blame lies with Bursa for allowing RSS to take over the Malaysian market. Harta made almost 3b in profit this quarter, while Bursa only made 88m. Yet Harta’s market cap only 4x that of Bursa. Do you see a problem here?
Bursa is just like a bookie. If enough people place bets, they make a profit no matter what. All they need is liquidity, and marketing to get suckers interested.

More than 200k active cases locally
And Harta >3b profit
This is the problem having market makers
Yes they provide liquidity
But at the expense of pulling down the ship
Not that it matters to Bursa
Since it is a profit making entity

Retailers powerless against market makers
Need Harta’s management to execute share buybacks
And announce bumper dividend to hurt the shorts

Of course JP lowers TG target price.
What else you expect when market makers are allowed to short.

A fund manager from Fidelity mentioned he avoids Malaysia equities.
Due to majority having poor corporate governance and often interference from government heads.
FGV is the most glaring example. 4.45 IPO price, and Malaysian government in private forgiving settlers debts. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.

It is unfair that Bursa allows RSS for some
Especially market makers, and not for others
The end result is market makers cannibalizing retail investors.

Whales usually utilize margin
So the longer price remains depressed
The more interest they pay to the bank
2021-06-22 22:26 | Report Abuse
Which whale bought into GOB recently.
The price movement is very irregular.

Very very very bad.
Audit firm peers should show some solidarity and rally around KPMG. Just because a bunch of major shareholders want to avoid margin calls.
1. new chairman start so arrogantly claiming he knew everything already. This reconfirmed my suspicions that the new donkey chairman is actually a non-independent claiming to be independent, put into the independent board to hinder the due process.
2. a crook lawyer is appointed to defend sebak. It is like telling the whole world that sebak is a crook.
3. nothing about the accounting has been addressed at all.
4. they CANCEL the EY appointment !!

All this time I thought share buyback must be unconditional. Why is Bursa so lenient to FGV in regards to rectifying their public shareholding spread.
Policy just for show?

Naysayers comment like they can do a better job than current CEO when actually most won’t even last a month in the job let alone a year. Transformation will take time.
Trust the CEO to do his job. Many Malaysians have this negative mindset, which is a very bad personality trait.

The large sell q at 3.30 onwards are done by market makers
2021-06-01 15:59 | Report Abuse
These market makers manipulate the q to make it seem that there are more sellers. And scare off weak retailers into selling.
When their own bids are fulfilled, they release the sell q and let the price run up. And then dispose.

I don’t get market makers sometimes.
Why suppress the price at 3.30 w a large sell q.
Market makers shld know that if the price rises higher the value of their holdings is worth more.

The sign of a good auditor is someone who disagrees and challenges you. Not someone who plays ball w its paymaster.
Their duty of care is to the public.
Just like when Apandi tried to fool the public in clearing a certain prominent individual from wrongdoing. More keen on saving his own skin than actually doing his job.

In Singapore, any exit offer must be both fair and reasonable.
In Malaysia, an offer that is “not fair but reasonable” can come with an “accept” advice by the independent advisers and is open for shareholders’ acceptance.
A delisting proposal is deemed “not fair” if the offer price is lower than the revalued net asset value per share or fair value estimated by the independent adviser. It is deemed “reasonable” if it provides an exit opportunity for shareholders to realise their investment, after taking into consideration the historical market price and historical trading liquidity of the shares.

snake_eye if u know who is Foxconn and what bisness they are doing and what capability Dnex(silterra) has, u will sell all your asset and buy this counter and wait for 2-3 years...
Yes. Trump had to plead Foxconn to build factory in Wisconsin, Usa.
If Foxconn takes up placement, DS Zainal Abidin would not have to worry about Silterra. Always better to have a strategic partner who can add value to the company than a non-strategic one.

Having Foxconn on board can help lower Silterra’s R&D, increase speed of technology transfer and turnover, achieve economies of scale and network opportunities. Organic growth is increasingly difficult these days. Need to also explore M&A opportunites.
This was how Singapore was able to develop its technology sector so rapidly through foreign partnerships with world leading companies.

If FELDA want to privatize so badly, they should make a decent offer and not use loopholes to bully minority shareholders into giving up their shares.

Everything has a price. If Felda is indeed unhappy they are not able to privatize, make a higher offer and get it over with. Its not like that they don't have the funds. Or just buy up the balance in the open market.
