Macquarie doesn't care if you are Tony or Queen Elizabeth

Suicide_Squad's theory proved one thing:
That IB's don't care about your feelings
They are only out to line their own pockets
Pity those who got burned buying call warrants
Investors must understand that in the long run, you can never beat the banks at their own game
If I were a bank, I would issue warrants if I think that:
1) prices are increasing now (so that it can attract losers to buy my warrants)
2) prices are expected to drop before expiry (so that the losers will cry and I keep the money).
3) Malaysians have not yet realised that they are being cheated by such genius products.
4) I can manipulate the price of the mother share during the last 5 days, if I need to.

It was irresponsible reporting by The Edge
As a news portal their primary role is to report facts and not dictating the market by ramping-up speculation
2017-10-24 10:19 | Report Abuse
It is highly unethical for The Edge to publish speculative news as their headline

Airasia India may not be profitable at the moment but at least they got one foot in the door.
I know someone who for years did seafood importing business with minimal profits.
Today, he supplies seafood to major hotel chains in the country.
As India's population grows more affluent, air travel volume will pick up.
Airasia needs to keep focus on expanding to new markets, and finding innovative ways to reduce their CASK.
There is no one better to take the company forward than Tan Sri Tony.

Airasia is the best, not only providing people with valuable jobs, but boosting tourism across the region. Airasia Indonesia, Airasia India, and soon Airasia China.
In addition to the airline, the JV in China will also look into developing infrastructure.
The JV will invest in developing for pilots, engineers and crew training as well as a maintenance, repair and overhaul provider (MRO).

Replacing the whole board will give investors and settlers more confidence.
As it is FGV is a hot potato, billions in revenue and yet no profits or minuscule if any.
Listing it was a sham in the first place.
To benefit those in high places and to con the cornerstone investors.
These include the Qatar investment authority; AIA; Fidelity; Value Partners, a Hong Kong-based funds management firm and several Malaysian state-affiliated pension funds.

Not speculating on any specific counter.
Just making reference on how the governments lackadaisical attitude is putting investors off.
Glc's have long been a cash cow for ruling party.
That's why PH promises institution reforms.
Was the deadline on Bdr Malaysia extended?
No timely update, nothing.

@Traders313
If ascribe 10x EPS, theoratically should be worth 1.59
Conservatively if total debt of 26c is deducted, then fair value should be worth at least 1.33
This is ignoring the fact that they are in a strong cash position, enough to pay off all their debts and still pay a dividend

Don't be harsh on Mr Koon, Fundamentally he is not wrong
Canone is undervalued, but in my opinion DUFU is also undervalued & has a much better B/sheet
Remember that Value investors invest based on sound principles and not on trying to predict market irrationality

Current quarter's cost of sales higher than revenue.
And not too long one of their big client set up their own factory in Cambodia.
200 staff laid off and yet Mr Loh claims growth remains intact.
How so? Via economies of scale from bigger production capacity?
No analyst report under coverage on Tekseng to verify their claims.
In my opinion, newspaper reporters are not qualified to interview them, as they don't pose enough challenging questions.
Get Kok Beng/Kok Cheng to come on BFM for an interview.

Don't have hatred for Stanley Sim
There are no chartist who can tell with absolute certainty which way the stock will move
But they are trying to guide us with their technical knowledge.
It is management integrity and experience in managing expectations which is more important
Well-run companies like Public Bank, VS, Padini, Thong Guan, Timecom has over time proven to enhance shareholder value.

At 31.5c currently, T7's share price is trading below its par value of 50c (discount of 37%).
This makes it difficult for the company to embark on fund-raising exercise and/or corporate exercises involving issuance of new shares.

My hunch is GFM is a potential goldmine.
Dec 2015 revenue for GFM Services of RM70m. Assuming 10% profit margin, RM7m.
7m/809,689 shares: 8.6c EPS. Dividend policy of 40%.
At current price of 50c, PE of 5.8x. Assuming 2.5c dividend, that's 5% dividend yield.
At this level, definitely much cheaper than AWC.

We shouldn't be quick to judge Mr KYY.
As the founder of IJM, Gamuda, Mudajaya he gives good advice in terms of maximizing shareholder value.
His point of view should be respected.
As minority shareholders, we should be more collective in our efforts.
Far too often, directors of PLCs put their own interest ahead of shareholders.

10c dividend?!!!
Wow. With Ringgit so weak, can expect its furniture exports to perform better.
From its annual report:
Export oriented companies in general have benefited from the continued depreciation in
the Malaysian Ringgit which averaged 4.12 to the US Dollar between July 2015 - 2016. As a
result, goods exported from Malaysia remain globally competitive against lower cost base
economies such as Vietnam and China.
The Furniture Division demonstrated significant improvement for the FY16 contributing RM27.21 million to the Group’s operating profit. The improvement in this division resulted from increased order volume from all markets due to competitive prices as the Malaysian Ringgit depreciates.
Today, Jaycorp Group is proud to have its furniture products exported to more than 45 countries all over the world of each continent with more than 100 customers under its belt which include some of the largest retailers in the world such as Walmart Store, Target Store, Metro Group, Nitori, Coaster and etc.
Our Worldwide export market covers USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Scandinavia Countries, Japan, Australia, New Zealand.

Trump’s energy policies are explicitly fossil-fuel centric and particularly rely on the shale oil industry. Under his “America First Energy Plan,” the U.S. is to achieve energy independence by exploiting domestic reserves of shale oil, natural gas and clean coal. The promotion of these energy sources are expected to simultaneously lower domestic energy prices, reduce carbon emissions and create economic growth.
Based on above article, should we be expecting more future downside pressure on oil prices?
Or does anyone have a contrarian view on SKPETRO

Curious to see if NPO Builders Sdn Bhd would accept Titijaya shares as compensation for its land bank. Even though the shares are offered at a discount, 79.73 million shares is still a huge chunk of change and judging from trading volume, not very liquid.

But their silence is utterly disappointing and a letdown to the investing community.
Unlike VS Industries bods who are responsible enough to issue a profit warning prior to Quarter result announcement.
