The Associated Press announced today that all votes had officially been certified.

Clinton had 2,864,974 votes more than Trump, the largest popular vote margin of any losing presidential candidate in U.S. history, according to the AP.

Trump won the presidency by clinching 304 electoral votes, well over the minimum 270 needed. Clinton won 227 electoral votes.

Clinton is the fifth presidential candidate in history to win the popular vote and lose the Electoral College.

Know the different between direct President election the one man/women one vote priciple. And voter only vote for MP and MPs select among themselve PM?

Malaysia was never a democratic country in Priciple else how you explain PJ how many voters for one MP compare to those rural area.

The question why many countries that directly elect their President practice if no candidates win 50%+1 vote then the top two candidiate will go into second round and Taiwan did not?

Democracy is governed by its most popularly understood principle: majority rule.

Is it fair to 60% of votors that did not vote for DPP. Can DPP/Taiwanese claim Taiwan is a democratic country when it did not comply to domocracy core principle of majority rule?

I think Indonesia President election is more fair and democratic.
In the first round if no candidates win 50%+1 vote then the top two candidiate will go into second round.

Why Taiwan did not do that?

As for Hengyuan, I am so sure of the crack spread as this is public available data but alas I miscalculate the China man addicted to gamble and hence the multi-billion in hedged losses.

Lesson learnt, no one can recommend you a sure win stock. So learn to read the financial report: P&L statement, Balance sheet and cash flow statement.

By the way because of reading financial report and monthly FFB production of bplant and jayatiasa, I switch all my bplant to jayatiasa but alas I miscalculate the KLK VGO/LTAT MGO bplant at RM1.55

So life is interesting because you do not know what awaiting you.

For economic reason you need a wide-body aircraft, also known as a twin-aisle aircraft for long haul flights to Europe, South America and Africa. Almost all AA planes are narrow-body with a single aisle only suitable for short-to-medium haul flights.

Tony Fernandes optimistic Capital A will exit PN17 status by year-end
Bernama -

“We can be out of PN17, definitely this year, I hope much earlier (than that). All of the consultants are now going through all the work.

“We hope to submit to Bursa (somewhere between) February and April. So, once we get the approval, then we will go through,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the AirAsia Super App Rider and Driver appreciation event today.

And do you think Asia Aviation Public Company Limited a public company listed in Thai stock exchange and PT AirAsia Indonesia TBK a listed company in Indonesia Stock exchange will agreed to paying loyalty fees to Brand AA?

Capital A International shall be made up of Brand AA Sdn Bhd and Fleet Consolidated Pte Ltd
Both Brand AA and Fleet Consolidated are newly formed subsidiaries and do not have any revenue.

Brand AA is a brand management company. It is the registered proprietor for all the rights under the AirAsia brand.
Under a master brand licensing agreement dated May 31 this year, Brand AA has the right to collect royalty fees from AirAsia Aviation Group Ltd, Capital A’s aviation division.

Fleet Consolidated, meanwhile, will primarily be responsible for the procurement and delivery of the requisite aircraft for the aviation group based on the agreed allocation plan.

The proposed deal is to merge CAPI with Aetherium Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ: GMFI), a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (“SPAC”) listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange for an indicative equity value of United States Dollars (“USD”) 1 billion based on an independent valuation of the AirAsia Brand.

Capital A International intends to generate revenue from brand royalty and the leasing of aircraft. Additionally, it will be involved in tactical acquisition, incubation and partnerships to provide platforms for entrepreneurs.

However, the Board will pursue the proposal for the waiver of MGO with the major shareholders and evaluate the process of share buyback with a view to enhance shareholders’ value. The Board will announce the waiver application as soon as such notice is received. The waiver application will be subjected to the approval of the relevant authorities and non-interested shareholders of the Company at an extraordinary general meeting to be held.

TONY FERNANDES’S GLOBAL EMPIRE TO BE BROKEN UP INTO FIVE LISTED COMPANIES “UTLIMATELY”
JANUARY 9, 2024• DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION, MALAYSIA, MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS, NEWS, SEA•BY YIMIE YONG
Tony Fernandes’s global empire will eventually be broken up into one listed company in the US and four other companies listed in Southeast Asia, the Malaysian tycoon behind low-cost airline AirAsia said on Monday.
Monday.

“We want to build four companies (for the non-aviation business), in the end they’ll probably be broken up. So shareholders of Capital A will own shares in aviation, will own shares in Teleport… we’ll list all of them separately, and one company will probably take over Capital A’s listing,” he told reporters on Monday at AirAsia Aviation 2024 Outlook briefing.

“So in the end, my dream is when I retire… five listed companies, one in America and four in other parts of Asean,” he explained, adding that he plans to retire in five years.

The non-aviation businesses he was referring to include logistics business Teleport, Move (online travel agency and fintech firm BigPay), airline engineering and maintenance services provider Asia Digital Engineering, food company Santan, aviation consulting firm AirAsia Consulting, AirAsia Academy, among others.

Is Stony high on kool-aid or suffered from Grandiose delusions?

CapA as at 30/9/2023
Current assets: RM 2,072,007,000
Current liabilities: RM 14,599,870,000
Net current liabilities: RM (12,527,863,000)
Has Stony figure out how not to default on net current liabiliaties of RM (12, 527,863,000) in the next 12 months?

By the way Asia Aviation Public Company Limited is public company listed in Thai stock exchange and PT AirAsia Indonesia TBK is listed in Indonesia Stock exchange and capA is trying to list PAA in Philippine stock exchange.

Following several years of significant investment in production capacity in China, a perfect storm is hitting the chemicals market, as increased global capacity meets weakening demand. The global oversupply of petrochemicals is expected to hit a record 218m tonnes in 20231 and China is continuing to add capacity, with almost 140m tonnes expected to come onstream in 2023, well in excess of previous years.

Against the backdrop of a worsening macroeconomic outlook and a strong US dollar, chemical market participants are having to contend with an unprecedented level of uncertainty within the industry.

Fact check.
Mabel release/should be cut lose all at 79 and collected back at 74 sen.

The short sellers must buy back and return the shares they borrowed within three market days.
False.
The SBL mechanism allows, say, a borrower who expects the price of a stock to fall to hold a short position for a prescribed duration. The borrower immediately sells the securities in the hope of profiting from the sale and buys them back later when price falls.

During this period, ownership of the securities is provisionally transferred to the borrower, who pays all dividends due to the lender. The lender also receives an agreed-upon fee — which is usually an annualised percentage of the value of the loaned securities — from the borrower. The securities are returned to the lender at the end of the deal.

The Edge Financial Daily quoted Affin Hwang’s SBL equity finance senior associate director Karu Ramesh Kumar as saying that retail investors could earn interest income of 0.5% to 12% per year, depending on the supply of and demand for the stocks they own.
