Yes for Delta, current vaccines with 2 doses are still able to prevent serious illness although mild symptoms may occur in some ppl amd in smaller % there are ppl who also died due to serious symptoms. But coming newer variants of concerns may render the current vaccines useless. If you look at the TA chart of vaccines effectiveness to appearance of new variants, it is a downtrend chart , similar to all current glove stocks TA charts.

MM, I think you missed the point yet again. The articles are expert opinion that there is a deteriorating pattern of vaccine effectiveness over time with the appearance of newer variants. With many parts of the world still being ravaged by Covid, it may be inevitable that some new variants will completely escape the current vaccines in coming months. Just like dropping of glove ASP over time may signal the end of supernormal profit for glovemakers, the dropping of neutralizing antibodies effectiveness of current vaccines over time may signal the increasing strength of Covid to effectively bypass the neutralizing antibodies soon. The fact that study shows this is happening means there is a possibility which cannot be taken lightly. If that happens then there is no more defense by the vaccines and ppl will start to seriously get ill again. Of course, the only remedy is , newer updated vaccines will need to be rolled out to the entire population again. That means an extended period of time to reach herd immunity, if ever that is possible.

So pls proofread the tone of my this post to see whether its "fearmongering" or not. If still not acceptable, then maybe you can edit till you like they way it should sound than repost it here again.

Maybe they are trying warn the gov'ts against opening up too soon. One pattern I noticed about Covid is that it will take a rest after ravaging certain communities, then rebuild and attack other communities, at different parts of the world, taking turns. In that way they are better than our naysayers here who attack day and night non stop over many moons. You summarize pretty much my thoughts, Last round my average was RM 4.3 and I sold all around RM 5.0 , Now started collecting around RM 3.70 and will keep slowly averaging down every 20c. I agree we are reaching close to the bottom of this round, as I think the drop of ASP projected for 2HCY 2021 is alrdy priced in. Now is hoping for any pleasant surprise to power the next rebound.
Cash in hand by end of CY21 would be around RM 2.0, funds for US expansion likely to be expanded mostly in CY2022. Ya agree that force labor is not an issue with Supermax. Likely the complaint was file by parties aligned to biz competitors in US.

1) The steps taken so far to pursue such opportunity is real and not based on rumor but based on confidence with their current OBM relationships and reputation. You wouldn't know the real status of the opportunity, until when it is officially announced.
2) You wouldn't know and would not able to give any assessment as to the opportunities afforded by such venture. So you can only speculate negatively, meaning tokok to play down the potential.
3) Again, you wouldn't know how far Covid can mutate and whether it will breakthrough the currents vaccines or not.

1) regards the long term gov't contracts, likely there are a series of strategic steps that needed to be taken before the contracts can come to fruition. What they are doing now cannot easily be replicated by the other Big 4 or even Thailand or China manufacturers. That's bcos their OBM biz over the years have helped them to establish good relationships with various US states healthcare agencies. Could it be the start of the next wave in Europe? Even in US the vaccination has slowed down substantially, with only 44% fully vaccinated. Most of those who are not vaccinated are Republican anti-vaxxers who are Trump supporters who distrust the authorities. Meaning even if they are infected they may not inform the health authorities. Maybe the Delta variant is alrdy spreading fast there. Due to under-reporting the numbers are not officially showing up. Perhaps once the spread has become exponential, then the spread will be explosive like wild fire, just like India. Biden Admin may not feel the incentive to push hard for the Republican supporters to be vaccinated, for obvious political reason.

The US factory still in preliminary stage so money set aside but not expanded yet. So assume if I but at RM 2, borrow RM 5.5 B, takeover company become private entity, cancel US expansion and together with next 3 qtr earnings, I can repay the entire loan by end of the year and get the company free la.
